It is the same drill. Informally, this is called the quadrant drill, and it is central to receiving impact-related HAPV for the purpose of responding, capturing and or controlling.
McCarthy Sensei: If I am not mistaken, this must be the same Uke-waza drill you shared with me in the courtyard of the hotel in Narita a couple of years ago? I wonder how many strange looks we got as people looked out their windows and saw you beating me up... ;)
Looks great. When I do this drill its usually done at a slower pace and one side at a time. This looks great done at a faster pace and mixing both sides left and right. Can't wait to try.
