This isn't, however, to say i don't like this. Far from it, this is the finest metal rearrangement of FB I've ever heard, and zone 2 has NEVER been done better. The drums SLAM, especially the main zone 1 bassline as exemplified at 0:12. Remixers take note, that hardcore beat is what makes Flying Battery Zone 1 one of the best tracks in the entire Sonic franchise. Color me impressed. Sub'd.

you're sooooo close to knocking this one out of the park... a little more distortion on the leads and a little less synth, and i have to wonder what you were thinking at 2:13. It broke my heart a little hearing the musical equivalent of a smash cut from nearly the peak of awesomeness to a comparatively watered down trance mix. Flying Battery has been done to death in that style (and only once properly, by Beatdrop watch?v=hd8sAPGOvX4 ).

Yes, I do. Nothing is programmed in any of my stuff (except some things in 'Shinra Corporation'), it's what I take pride in most. :)

And yes, a cel shaded Sonic game could prove most interesting!

It's a good effort, but I noticed the drums don't always sync with the guitar.

Nice drum samples! Is this done in FL? What instrument did you use? Drummax?

Another thing - this remix has a LOT of riffs in common with Dead Batteries by Snappleman... I'm tempted to say you copied him, but you're a pretty good arranger, so it's possible you just came up with the same thing.
