25 years old, grew up with Webb, Lefty, the great one Hank, and many more of course. When I was a little kid I was embarrassed when my dad had these on the vinyl playing them while my friends were there. A few years later I was singing these songs word for word and didn't give a damn if someone didn't like the music. Long live REAL C&W.

What a treat to find all these songs and artists on YouTube. I grew up around this music, and it brings great comfort to me, because I can remember a time and place that makes me happy. I can't believe how much Country Music has strayed from it's roots and sound.

I couldn't even tell you who the new country artists are because I don't listen to them. Give me Loretta, Conway, Webb, Porter, Jim Reeves, and of course Patsy, anytime. It is so nice to see others here who know these people too.

Great sound of the OLD DAYS...when the price of admission to the Opry in Nashville was $1.50....when you could see and listen to all the country greats. And yes...you got your full $1.50's worth.

it's not gone, it's just underground. As with any good music these days you have to search for it. The industry's not gonna feed you anything with any substance. You're right, I don't care was one of those low budget rerecordings done in the late 70's. He also rerecorded most of his 50's hits for stereo around 1963 for the Decca double album The Webb Pierce Story.
