  • hey can you put all the links in the dis

  • you can save $100 by downloading windows 7 from the internet, which makes the pc for $400

  • @haris949

He can't say that here :D

  • @haris949 get linux off of the internet for free so you can do it XD

  • @AssasinsBounty n iff you dont have cpu go to a library or borrow pc from friends if you dont have friends ask sibling no sibling parents no parents ask a police if you can steal windows 7 ultimate from his cpu he will say yes

  • i built my computer with about 250€

    specs:

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6400

    6 gb ddr2 ram

    Ati Radeon HD 6570 2gb ddr3

    bad axe 2 motherboard

    500 gb samsung HDD

    and a DVD-RW

computer case was a old one, for a windows ME machine :P

  • I have been using my Compaq SR2014HM since 2006. Still runs fine, but, I can't play certain games with the render too high unless I feel like lagging about... So I went out and bought an ASUS m5a78l-m lx plus, amd phenom II x6 1090t, 4gb kensington hyperdrive something 1866 mhz ram, Once I get an windows 7 ultimate, I will finally set my render to far and conquer minecraft!!! lol

  • Whats the diff between SATA and ATA?

  • would this be able to handle Autodesk Inventor 2012 smoothly?

  • Haha.. most expensive piece... Operating system. Not for me..

  • I built a computer for under 500$ i used i5 processor 180$, asus p8p67 matx 135$, coolermaster 343 elite 40$, evga gt520 55$, pny 4gb ddr3 24$, dvd burner 20$, andcoolermaster 500 watt psu 40$, and 500gb samsung 7200rpm 55$

  • @TurbidAttack954 Sweet, but does the GPU do ANYTHING AT ALL?..

  • how does the bracelet called for the static electricity?

  • @Nigelsarmo anti static wristband

  • I built a good build just under $700 I used: AMD Phenom ii x4 955: $124.99. Msi 880 E45 AM3: $99.99. Kingston HyperX 2x4GB RAM: $44.06. ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB: $97.99. 500w CoolerMaster eXtreme PSU: $39.99. W7 Home: $99.99. Cooler Master Elite 430 Case: $42.99. Seagate 1TB 7200rpm: $68.99 and added a Hyper 212 for just 24.99 :D

  • Processing for gaming and other tasks.. (pong and youtube?) or (Crysis 2 and the Unreal Development Kit?)

  • @PhenomenalHeadShot Nevermind i know the answer to this question now, Farmville and Youtube.

  • Ive heard about compatibility issues.. could someone explain some of these to look out for?..

  • i got my pc (hp) in sold for 300 dollar.. weee, and the monitor (in sold ) (27 inch led) for 260 $!! and my video card ( in sold) 50 $ gt 430 Aw yeah and some Dell speakers for Five dollars!

  • Did youq know in 2011 8gb ddr3 is only 35$ on amazon

  • @TurbidAttack954 it's probably 1333MHz which is very weak.

  • What could you even run on this? Solitaire?!?! SHIT! THAT'S AWESOME!

  • nice check out mine!

  • Hey some one please help if your motherboard already has a built in GPU but u want it faster can u put in a new one in the PCi -e slot ?

  • 380 watt? winning.

  • sweet look on the case? BS , looks like a grandma...

  • lawl later in 2010 i got an amd phenom 9750 quad core 2.4 ghz for 50$

  • Thank you for the video. ;)

  • If I roughly doubled everything in this video what would I be left with.

ie. twice the memory, spend twice as much on cpu, more power, better motherboard, and double if not triple the price on the gpu

  • who the tell buys OS u can save 100$

  • @daman799 What would you do without the OS??

  • @SmackDaRayOutOfYou to run your computer you do not need a pci card, it's just used for wireless and other stuff like usb ports etc, all you need is : processor, motherboard, ram, case, power supply and graphics card if you wanna play games/look at HD videos cuz onboard is just not gonna cut it

  • What's the pros and cons of getting a OEM windows os?

  • nice cable management

  • I hate to be picky and all but .... 5:07 SCREW FAIL!!

  • 60+66+34+60+17+55+45+17=354$ for the build

    +100$ to Micro$oft W7

    +26$ shipping

  • Vid Card should go straight not side-to-side

  • nice vid, i am new to building pcs and im just about to start building my first rig but im not sure what power supply i need? what amount of watts will i need? does it matter? or does it depend on how many other things im running off my motherboard? my motherboard is:

    Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H

i will be using the HAF 912 plus case, 8GBs of ddr3, AMD phenom II X4 995 BE a 1GB graphics card etc pls help

  • @nigleywigley there is power supply calculators on the internet, but i would say you need about 500w, 700w to be on the safe side and if you are ever going to upgrade

  • @nigleywigley I would say a 750watt power supply for your hardware

  • @nigleywigley Umm.. 750w is a good amount, but if want to build a budget pc... 650w will be enough.

  • Will this play WoW

  • @TheRobbie2690 D'oh.

  • @TheRobbie2690 Yes, this setup will be more than enough to play WoW.

  • thanks that was cool and qucik

  • 17 bucks for the case! lol i think im going overboard im buying a 90 dollar coolermaster case...

  • In USA everything is like 20% cheaper.... i fucking hate it...

  • @valentass88 than go to american seller sites amazon.com ebay and some other sites should ship to Litauen

  • Nah I know how to do really good cable manage Kent I was trying to say I hope that the cable management in the build in this video was cleaned up because it's not good at all I'm not trying to be a dick but the computer will last longer and run better with better management.

  • Please please PLEASE tell me you did better cable management later right?

  • @andrewisflyyy look for linustechtips for cable management, thats the only person i know who made a video on doing that.

  • is it safe to touch the bottom of the video card with your fingers? lol

  • I prefer asus to asrock

  • he is keep saying sluts sluts. It should be Slot with a big O

  • built mine for $550

  • are the sata cables for the optical drive and hardrive included with the motherboard???

  • Could have saved more money with going with a microatx board that has 4200 radeon series integrated graphics, which wouldnt, need you to buy a graphics card. also could have got ddr2 ram.

  • Very cool, im going to be building a $750.00 PC soon. Seems pretty simple and basic.

  • @TJbatmankillaTJ yeah as long as everything is compatible with each other which may take some reasearch to do not shown in video lol, and making sure you have room to upgrade on your pc in their future

  • @hobbmaster I AMD doing all of that :)

  • cheak out trvis speech.it is so cool

  • thumbs down because: No mention at all of airflow, no mention of cable management, no mention of holding parts by the EDGES (especially CPU), and also no mention of the fact that buying PC components for this cheap can potentially lead to said parts failing (so check reviews, etc). Might seem common sense - but not to someone who has never built a pc

  • LMAO

i built MY budget desktop too.

it takes 1MW of electricity and my graphic card provides more Ghz than ur Core, 12GB ram, i7 8core 8x3.06GHz CPU + dualcore sound X-fi

oh, and 5 Tera data =)

    MUAHAHAHA

go throw stones and battle with sticks

  • @matZero You do realize that 1MW of electricity is = to 1,000,000 watts. I really doubt your computer takes the amount of energy that could run an entire neighborhood.

    I assume you meant 1KW, which = 1,000 watts...

  • @flyingpertyhigh

o ur right sry flipped the chart wit Mbyte :D -.-

  • or you can download a cracked version of w7 and spend that $100 towards a bit better psu+gpu

  • Just bought Samsung 1TB hard drive for $57, also go with a modular PSU, and a case with the hard drives truned 90 degress, so that it's easier to add/remove without being worried about hitting other parts connected to the motherboard

  • Just go to tomshardware and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve with 500$

  • i would recomend to first place the procesor and the cooler and then place the motherboard into the case

  • Asus Motherboard P7H55D-M PRO,s1156 is a much better motherboard for gaming and a Intel I3,i5 or i7 processor.

  • atleast now i know what my brother did wrong while building mine... instead of spending 500 euro on one i had to buy a new one of 700 euro that was prestalled and everything.. but

this was really interesting and gives me a boos of building my own next time!

  • Wow, $17 case ftw! Learned something new today. Now I have a extra $80 to put towards a more powerful gpu or cpu and still stay under $500.

  • Great tutorial, and that's a pretty good budget build =].

  • AMD is not the best choice even if you wanted cheaper, but anyhow this is still a nice tutorial.

  • Very well step by step explained video. Thanks for posting!!!!!

  • I built a Q9550 system with 8GB RAM just over 2 years ago, so I won't be upgrading for a while. I might swap out the motherboard though because the Gigabyte EP45 board sucks (BIOS is really slow, takes about 30 seconds before it starts booting the OS).

  • @jayrellz we bought everything from Newegg

  • If you want more performance, go for at least a 550W PSU, 750 is better.

That processor is cheap cuz it's crap. If you want performance, look at intels core 2/quad for the performance/price.

Install ram AFTER CPU & fan, trust me.

The best $500 you can put towards a computer are for Processor, Mother Board, and Graphics Card. Then get some decent ram, a case, a HD, and your set. Also keep in mind, it's possible to reuse your current case and HD, You will need to reinstall the OS though.

  • @stalker7d7 RAM too, but DDR3 is standard now, keep that in mind.

  • @stalker7d7 That CPU is just fine, AMD's Athlons are still great budget chips, miles ahead of an equivalently priced Celeron (you will strugle to get a core i3 on a par with the Athlon's pricing). Also just because the PSU has more power won't improve the performance atall, 350W is ample for that build even allowing for future HDD upgrades and such.

Just curious, why install the RAM after the CPU, makes no difference...

  • @fuzzyfox92 For the PSU, keep in mind that I said for those who want more performance. No, it won't add more performance to your system directly, but it lets you add more and faster components. And you'll want some leeway between how many watts your pulling, and what your psu can do. If your pulling 300W from a 350W psu, it's gonna die sooner than if you had a 550W psu.

Install the RAM after the cpu FAN. Much easier to install the fan that way.

  • For ~ the same price they paid for that cpu and motherboard, you can get a bundle(cpu & mobo) with a triple core and even quad core cpu. Little extra cash can get you an intel core 2 duo.

  • @stalker7d7

dude, show me a triple core...

  • @matZero Just a triple? I can top that easy. This was on the first mobo&cpu page of tigerdirect : ECS A740GM-M (V7.0) AMD 740G MB w/ X4 9750 CPU @ $113 dollars, with $13 rebate as well so $100 dollars.

And that's a quad core. There's also a triple core bundle for $75.

And that was the first page of the first website I looked at. There are much better deals than what he showed you in this video.

  • @stalker7d7 Sources please? or it don't mean shit.

  • @valflyinf google it motherfucker

  • @stalker7d7 from where?

  • @PhenomenalHeadShot Asking this now, a year after the video post date. Smart. Look around the web and you'll see.

  • @stalker7d7 i dont see why not, theres still plenty of people watching the video.. for example YOU.. asshole. Besides im pretty sure compatibility issues are still an issue a year later and im not talking about THESE parts specifically i just want to know how to tell wether or not two parts will work together and what issues i should watch out for when buying pieces.

  • @PhenomenalHeadShot I didn't watch it tho, I just came to reply to a response to my comment...

And here's what you watch out for. Make sure processor and motherboard are compatible, both using 1155 or 1156, etc... Then read the mobo specs and get ram... not too hard.

  • @stalker7d7 kk thanks , I think.

  • @stalker7d7 its probably best to make sure the case supports fans and slots for everything too huh?

  • @stalker7d7 What would you suggest is the best bundle..i'm going to build a pc and was wondering if you could help me thanks?

  • @thenickolfcfolife Well, that really depends on how much money you want to spend. But the best bang for your buck right no is probably going to be an intel i5 2500k and a motherboard that supports what you want. newegg, com has a lot of great bundles you can search through, if you find the processor of your choice, and then scroll down and there should be a bundle suggestion, with an option to browse more bundles.

If you want more help send me a private message and ill do what I can.

  • Nick Barber rocks!

  • @Motouyuu Thanks! That wasn't me installing...I was behind the camera on this one :-)

  • can you show us next time how to upgrade a pc like that to a performance monster of gaming please

    lets say for also 500$

  • @EphraimRodrigez Check your processor. If it's still sufficient to run later games, then keep it, if not, upgrade to something more compatible. Upgrade your vid card.

    For extra, add more rams.

Be careful about upgrades. Make sure your current power supply unit can handle the new parts, or you'll have to upgrade that too. Also be sure to check how efficient your computer is cooling, or you'll have to upgrade/buy the cooling system.

If you need to replace all of the above, build a new comp

  • @MysticLoser well my vid card is the newest and fastest part of my pc (nvidia geforce 9600gt) and iam just gonna upgrade my lame dual core with a nice fast (but also shitload expensive) quad core processor

  • @EphraimRodrigez my brother just did that. he was concerned it was a bit too pricy, but the results are worth it!

  • @worldtravel101 well i think i have to upgrade the ram as well but thats way cheaper

but thanks for the... uhm... lets say confirmation

  • @EphraimRodrigez it's $500

  • @hannahbarber66 what do you mean ??

  • @EphraimRodrigez just look for the parts yourself

  • @nascar51523fan already did... played bullestorm yesterday on highest graphic ^^

  • @EphraimRodrigez pm me and ill give the best budget build for $550 and its a monster rig

  • You could do that for 650$ easily

  • nice

  • where did they buy the parts from?

  • I wish I only paid $60 for my AMD Athlon X2 CPU. I bought mine before Intel came out with their Core 2 Duos and CPUs were ridiculously expensive.

  • Nice guide. However, depending on component and case sizes, it might have quite a lot of advantages to mount the CPU and cooler before mounting the motherboard inside the case. Especially if you have to apply thermal paste yourself.

And depending on the size of the cooler, it might also be smart to install your Ram first, with the motherboard still outside the case.

  • Comment removed

  • What if you install Mac OS X in it?

  • I have a similar budget pc end i would like to see some benchmark's i'm curious i think i have problems with the power supply the voltage is rather small 11.741 instead of 12+ when the processor is working hard .
