  • They are delicious my favorite food in the whole world!!!

  • I wonder how he'd taste on the barbie...

  • Step One: Add To Boiled Water. This is Really Great. Step 2: Take It Out And Cover With Garlic Butter Sauce. Step 3: Enjoy!

  • Lol, who says shrimp = wimp.

  • 2:14 daw :3

  • Now that's what I call; Alien!

  • IM GONNA EAT U!

  • this video is awesome

  • is this filmed on 3d or is it a kind of animation? at some parts i cant tell the diffrence ^^

  • @Prometheus4096

bullshit. "planet earth" and "life" both have huge adult audiences. probably the majority

  • The people that added the ridiculous sound effects are the same people that swindled kids into buying Sea Monkeys because look like people on the box.

  • There are so many things wrong with this vid. For one mantis shrimp compare to the FORCE of a .22 not the speed (their claws travel at 50mph roughly), and two mantis shrimp are immune to the poison of octopuses (they eat blue rings for gods sake). this is a territorial battle not one for food.

  • DAt BOI CrAzE

  • WHAT UH MONSTA

  • when he cleaned his eyes it was sooo cute...

  • LOL scuttle scuttle...whack nom

  • Wow this shrimp is very impressive =D and cute. awsome

  • are you sure its savory? just had this guy for lunch on insistence of a lunch companion - chewy comes to mind (the taste is kind of lobster/shrimp-ish)

  • it would inject venom, not a poison...FAIL

  • @1cjasp1 You're correct. But at the same time Venom is a poison.

  • @N41J4 in reality they are made of simular or the same components, but it is the way that it is administered. so i get your drift

  • I hear they taste like lobster with the texture of crab meat, I'd try one at least once in my life just for curiousity. But thta it.

  • OMG that is TOO CUTE!!! Nickalodion (whatev on spelling) needs to introduce a mantis shrimp in their spongebob cartoon!

  • I saw this at the omni theatre. its this massive screen that wraps around you. it was a blast.

  • haha i love 0:58 when he pops his head from behind the ledge

  • at 1:36 he walks funny

  • Awesome!

  • lol it zooms away then bam its back

  • 1:17 "nigga i will cut you, back up foo"

  • Bad Ass!

  • i saw this at imax

  • amazing camera work

  • that was awesome

  • so animated ?

  • NO its all real

  • real due

  • Many octopi have poison, not just blue rings.

  • lol at 1:17 I think he is saying, "Don't get near me, mofo!"

  • no itS like this 1:17 botch whers my money?

  • that was not a blue ring octopus, blue rings are smaller than your fist and come from australia, not freezing waters of the usa

  • One of those narrators is Johnny Depp

  • It looks so big and colorful and scary when it makes itself look bigger...wow

  • lol yer he showed that octopus, he didnt even flinch, hi-5 for 8 legs

  • I can't stand it when you get such good footage and it's catered to kids rather than curious adults. Narrated with that childish voice over. Bloody annoying.

  • can you eat them???

  • yes they taste like normal shrimps

  • lol!

  • so funny how they lurk in their holes and pop their heads out..and scurry along the floor

  • lol, whenever people try to hand feed these things, they end up having their thumb nails cracked into a bajillion pieces

  • its so creepy when it burrows....

  • The audio made this video feel like one of the episodes of spongebob..

  • Mantis shrimp are such bastards

  • 00:39 "i think he craped himself"

  • LOL.....SO CUTE!

  • A really endearing critter (the shrimp). He is SO the boss of that octopus! Thanks for sharing this cool and informative video!

  • Id say it's about 30-50 meters, not very deep.

but thats so cool, a shrimp with atatude!!!

  • It's not deep is it. There's photosynthetic plants and it's light.

The mantis shrimp is a tangle of legs and arms - makes any film alien look tame.

  • Well its easy , they go down shoot the video and dont disturb the sea animals.Cool vid nice to watch .Those creatures have something rebellic and something cute at the same time [the mantis shrimp]

  • I don't think this footage is shot very deep, you can tell from the light and two spot octopus can be found in shallow waters.

  • amazing. how people are able to shoot these videos without disturbing the sea animals is beyond me.

  • sometimes the trick is to leave the camera working ,in front of the hole ,and to go away for 10 mn.

when you come back with a bit of luck you have nice footage.

  • I suppose it is somewhat cute, kinnda reminds me of a water version of a prarie dog. Toward the end that is.

  • LOL "Don't mess with me" then the octo comes closer and it runs alway hahaha.

  • Now that guy´s cute (the shrimp).

I could really hear the octopus think "you´re no fun to play with!"

  • Awesome video, but if I ever get one of those in my reef tank, I'm flushing the entire works down the drain and buying a freekin gerbil!

  • At .58 hes like well fuck that!

  • so cute!!!i love it..(the matis shrimp)..

  • heh, dont f*ck with the mantis shrimp

  • lol ownd

  • OMG THIS IS FUNNY, the octopus is like, wtf is that? I bet he/she d idn't even feel it lol

  • nuts! just found one of these in my live rock!!

  • what do u mean found one , dont u need to buy them as pets how can u just find one in ur tank ?

  • .....no u tit it came inside the live rock!

  • they are very good at hiding, sometimes they go unspotted when people buy live rock for aquariums.

  • cool

  • I saw this on Deep Sea
