There are so many things wrong with this vid. For one mantis shrimp compare to the FORCE of a .22 not the speed (their claws travel at 50mph roughly), and two mantis shrimp are immune to the poison of octopuses (they eat blue rings for gods sake). this is a territorial battle not one for food.

sometimes the trick is to leave the camera working ,in front of the hole ,and to go away for 10 mn.
