  • I like that the beginning is slow, it helps you get across the emotion in your movements. And trust me, I've seen worse free hands. The routine is lovely, I'd just say to keep the energy throughout your whole body, like when you were dancing, throughout the whole routine. It's very nice :)

  • this is really good! Id love to do color guard! Imma audition for the Fall Season coming up, and id love to learn these moves!

  • it was awesome. very slow in beginning but was very very awesome.

  • great job!!

  • its always the people who leave a comment and have no videos to back up their credentials!

  • dont listen to these jerks, you are awesome and come on, you know you are. :D

  • to all those critiquing about freehands:

ummmm my freehands are like that as well. now before you get all "well then you suck too" mode i have been trained by world guard coaches and they have never in my 4 years of doing colorguard (which i have been a captain of for 3 years) have told me my free hands were terrible! and i completely agree with @oosilverdragonoo until you have done WGI it is then you can tell everyone what to do.

  • I watched this and thought "What a nice audition piece" but was appalled to scroll down and read what some people are picking on this video for. Don't listen, though, and take it from someone who has been doing this for far too long; the important thing is that you are doing what you love. Nobody's opinion matters and if it isn't positive then it shouldn't be shared in the first place. I think you are lovely.

  • your first catch was a little bumpy but otherwise good!

  • That is soo cool!I wish I could do that.... :/

  • why does everyone have to a critic???? shut up and teach your own colorguard. When you win WGI, THEN start passing out advice. jerks.

  • your not very good

  • I really like the move at 0:57 how did you do that

  • @MadisonAndMel basically, you just grab the silk as the bar goes around you.

  • its another version of what i call a helencopter. Its basically where you put the fag behind your back to where the silk is to the right and your arm is straight no bending. Then you are able to grab the silk with your left hand and you pull the silk. Its kinda like that. But hard. Its easy if you practice

    @MadisonAndMel

  • watch ur free hand on that second concert toss that was like WOAH way out there. the prep into that first toss was really cloudy make sure that if u want it to be seen that its seen. and ur attitudes werent amazing.

  • watch your tosses. you need to make sure they arent messy, because thats the first thing that everyone sees. also free hands are never good.

  • ab control at 0:28, and yea all the free hands and jerky arms, it almost looked like it pained you to do an attitude jump...just saying

  • you did a good job but you looked a litle bit uncoftable like you were a lil stiff when you were dancing it needs to flow a lil more but u did good!

  • with your tosses, try working on a turn around. It'll look more advanced awesome x] And i agree with everyone here...FREE HANDS! x] other than that good job =]

  • Yes, I completely agree Renea...From a subjective standpoint, your movt and body technique is amazing. You have been very well conditioned, and it shows, but those free hands....well....the thriller hands tends to come out when you least expect it. It happens to the best of us. Great job!

  • u are verry good, but of course there is always room to grow. u r much better than everyone else i've seen on youtube, but some words of advise. watch the stray hand, and try catching your pole straight up and down (which comes from the toss, u just need to play with the toss some more to see if u need more umph or height. once u get that, the catch is automatic)

  • this is realy pretty =) i wish i was this good.. lol im in color guard also XD

  • make sure not to squat down before a toss because it anticipates it and makes it look not uniform. also watch free hands on parallel tosses. but overall pretty good :)

  • I love it.

  • the horizontal tosses were all missed the lift...more lift more upwards along the lines of the spin and that should fix ur horizontals:)

  • you seem really tense loosen up u should try rifle you look like the kinda person that can toss a rifle check us out cy fair marching band fusion 2009( watch the color guard heehee) o pretty flag

  • its very weak... your free arms are not where they are supposed to be and all of your tosses are caught limply

  • Well i liked it! I'm an amatuer and i thought it was pretty spiffy!

  • Watch your free arms.

  • all your tosses you were catching it with only one hand!

    thats not good.

also when you did that warp around the leg, you might want to get the leg straightened out.

    but i liked it :D

  • Why would you catch with two hands? You only have one flag, One handed catches are just another element put in place to see who can control their flag.

  • theres a difference, in this case you can ell it was meant to not be catched in one hand, if it was she shouldve made it more clear or something.

  • it's good form to catch with 2 hands.

  • i don't claim to be a colorguard expert but i can't believe someone put to tighten up!!! NEVER TIGHTEN UP!!! if anything it was a little sloppy, be sure to watch ur free arms but never tighten up

  • Tighten up a bit and u will be fine make sure you make your presence known. And yes nice leap at the end

  • wow. I dont think I will make it in the team. :'(

  • I can tell your not a natrual dancer.

but the leap at the end was very nice.

Just when you dance keep your presence tight

  • that was quite graceful. escpeciually the leap at the end. very nice

  • Haha. That was a fun day.

    Nice jump at the end!
