  • Respond to this video... i was looking at svr 2011 on e3 it looks pretty good

  • its too easy to win on this game, they stay down to easily.

  • I totally agree, moves are too repetetive.. Only the story line creator saved this game, else, this game was gone....

  • career mode needs a damn storyline

  • Dont get me wrong.I just thought wrestlemania 2000 and wcw/nwo revenge were better then no mercy. This is how i rate the aki games

    1.WCW NWO REVENGE

    2.WRESTLEMANIA 2000

    3.WWF NO MERCY

    4.WCW VS NWO WORLD TOUR

  • thanks for agreeing...i cant see how a game that is worser then ps1 graphics is so overhyped...Smackdown HCTP had everything and good graphics and had a never ending season mode which no mercy never had

  • @Thedriffter1 i dident ply hctp before but what do you mean never ending season ??? every season has ending ?

  • dude smackdown HCTP is the best game

  • @Thedriffter1 yes HCTP Smackdown vs RAW original and 2006 were the best 3

  • who were you creating at 3:57 was it owen hart and i agree no mercy was one of the lat good wrestling games great review 10/5

  • Yes sir, it was my half-ass attempt at creating Owen just to show the versatility of the create mode. No Mercy lives in our hearts.

  • it was coming out good and i still have wwf no mercy for n64 i play it every day

  • dont make no mercy better then it was because people like you have overhyped that game...smackdown HCTP is the best wrestling game not no mercy

  • I totally agree. Here comes the pain was the best. And no mercy was with respect in my opinion the most overhyped wrestling game of all time.

  • anyone know the name of the song playing in the opening?

  • We have no clue but it's from the soundtrack of the game.

  • thanks for the info

  • cool you da man :)

  • also tna impact is a AMAZEING game

  • i love the wrestlemania legends game but no one else seems to :(

  • @badassrover

    I like it.

  • It has it's moments. I really think the relive and re-write concept is a very smart move. It's not perfect, but I was really hoping Smackdown would take it and improve on it.

  • This was a great review, kind of mad you thought of that idea for a superstar mode though, because i'll never get to play it, because it was so awesome, yet they won't ever grow the balls to do it...lol

  • Well... at least you're not mad alone pal. The way the business is, I agree with you, we may never see anything like that.

  • they should have a mode called wwe rewinds when you can get to be in great wwe moments of all time like on madden

  • Yup... they KIND OF had in Legends of Wrestlemania with top WM matches but I was upset they couldn't put it in this one. Raw itself has had so many great moments you can simulate in a game.

  • i know i have legends of wrestlemania but i was talking about like smackdown moments and raw and classic ecw and the others ppvs

  • I'm with you. How awesome would it be to be able to drive Stone Cold's beer truck into the ring and spray The Rock and the McMahons with the hose? It would be a neat little mini game that features a memorable Raw moment.

  • Good review. This year was actually the last year THQ/Yukes was signed to make WWE games. So this is the last one, unless they resigned.

  • Hope this is it for them then.. we need a brand new system from ground up.

  • they resigned another deal until 2014

  • I don't know where the proof of this comes from but that shattered my days existence.

  • lol, It's legit, look it up. I wouldn't lie about it, but I think it's just going to be WWE and THQ now without JAKKS.

It shouldn't be that bad, I mean they did deliver a better game with SvR2010 than they have past years.

  • That sucks!

  • they dont make the game good as people want it because they wont be able to come out with the next one and they would run out of ideas

  • Nice one fellas

  • I agree about having a mode where you ttry to be a better preformer, and sell merchandise, etc....that would be awesome...Kind of like madden's superstar mode

  • Exactly djjuicy, we're all educated wrestling fans. Why not have a mode that shows you the most interesting part of the business? Unfortunately, I don't think WWE will ever be comfortable with exposing the industry on a stage as large as a video game. Understandable I suppose. Would be a lot of fun though.

  • I suggest to the reviewer, in case you haven't already, play Fire Pro Wrestling Returns and King of Colosseum 2. Those to me are the best wrestling games that came out since No Mercy/VPW2.

But thanks for the review, this is another Smackdown game i don't plan on getting.

  • I appreciate that wizard,

I never got my hands on FPW Returns, for whatever reason, but I'm glad you reminded me that I should be getting to it. As far as King of Colosseum goes, being in the states never allowed me to be exposed to it. Same with Giant Gram 2000. Curious... what did you think of GG 2000 (if you've played it)?

  • Oh man I loved GG2000! Even though it was really arcadey, it was still very fun.The first GG wasn't as good as GG2000.

As for FPW Returns, I hope you'll like it. If you're like me, you won't get into right away unless you've played previous Fire Pro games. But once you get hooked, it's like crack. I bought the Japanese version the day it came out in 2005 and I re-bought the American version in 2007 just to support the company haha. And I still play it to this day, as well as No Mercy.

  • sick!

  • Great review.

  • Repetitiveness is what WWE does best and I guess thats y this series never fully changes over the years.
