  • My favourite James Freud song.

  • @robelinda2 Certainly is mine too, although Models' related, it's hard to go past Hold On or King Of Kings. First time I have realised that there is a video clip for this song.

  • @80sOldSkool Yeah i didnt know there was a video either! I bought this song on 7" single back in 1989 after hearing it on Triple M late one saturday night, always loved it since.

  • I never quite understood why they let James join The Models i thought they were polars apart.and the Models didnt need him. However I guess it worked and some great music was made, however I dont think of him as part of The Models still.

  • after the rocky hurricane this boppy-poppy song was my fave.the lp had 5 good songs but sounded ruched.3 weak songs.

  • WOW! Never even knew James F. went solo. Not a bad little ditty.

  • aweosme!

  • I've got the original release of this song on vinyl... hadn't ever seen the video till now. (i should rip it & upload i guess) Great post. Great song.

  • James was a wonderful bloke, the world is a poorer place for his passing.

  • This track is SO SO beautiful. It reminds me a lot of mid to late 80s OMD actually.

On tracks like this and Hold On when James has a very emotional message, it really touches me. SO beautiful, Love You james *** I hope you are at peace +

  • Richard Fydler replayed his interview with James from a few years ago and James said songs from this album weren't quite finished. You can hear that here. It's not as polished as "Out of Sight Out of Mind". Someone should re-do this album and release it as it should have at the time. There's a nice song under there somewhere.

  • I have spent time today looking back over my Models - James Freud music and memorbelia. The Models and James was one of my fav's. How quick we forget just how much Aussie music- Aussie artist leave a footprint on our lifes. I remember Countdown and spending all money I had on buying these albums and pics and seeing them live. A great Aussie talent lost. Deepest sympathy and thoughts to all that were close to him. 'I Hear Motion' I will play and more in memory today...

  • such talent

  • I made this video and another for james - so sad - so talented- so kind - so sensitive - and the best and hardest working musician - all the love to sal and the boys x

  • So sad you had to go like that. Especially for your boys & wife.

Loved the Models. Still have their records on vinyl.I remember seeing them with David Bowie at the Sydney Showground.

James' sons obviously have his talent & amazing looks. Hope they & their band do well despite this terrible loss.

  • I don't understand why James. Something must have been really bad in your life for you to do this and leave your family behind without you. So sad mate. You will be missed.

  • Rip James.

  • Ode to James Freud.... RIP to a man who added to my wonderful wayward existence in the 1980s!

This is not 'One Fine Day'... what a shame he couldn't see any other option.

    Jx

  • RIP James. May you never be forgotten :(

  • RIP JAMES...

  • OZ could do with another James Freud. The guy had it going on....he and Sean Kelly were perfect foils...if only they stayed away from the Uncle Dugs they may have made a fortune!

  • James autographed a copy of Step Into the Heat for me @ Newy Workers Club at soundcheck on his solo tour. Nice bloke.
