  • Where I live, house finches, which I'm told are very similar to purple finches, are actually more common than goldfinches so it would be the goldfinches I'd be excited to film, though I do love house finches too.

  • hehehee this is so cute, brilliant idea, i should put a camera out back, ive been meaning to put one in the birdhouse that the wrens keep using too. great vid, thanks for posting!

  • I have one of these birds as pets, but it's not a Purple finch, it's a Purple tipped tallywhacker, and it loves to be stroked and carressed, then puked on. I've liberated so much tallywacker juice stroking it, it sometimes sleeps for a few hours before it's good to go again. My tallywhacker especially likes Taylor Swift.

  • THX, this video help me a lot with my son homework!!!

  • I like to hear them singing happy at the feeder early in the morning! So happy!

  • Thank you for stopping by and for the comment:)

  • Those Goldfinches do look like Pine Siskins, when they are in their winter feathers, yes. But the ones in this video are Goldfinches, for sure, with their lunch mates, the Purple Finch couple, how adorable!!
