this was the best ending ever...i mean they should've left it alone after this. i saw this at the movies and my mouth drops at this ending because it was so good. part 8 was unnesscary and the rob zombie version was a waste of time lol in my opinion

meh, most people accept this as the legit-ending because Hall-ressurection didn't go anywhere & it's been suggested that ressurection was just an alternate universe carry on just to explain a scenario where Michael might've been able to survive.

Basically H20 is the REAL ending.

Yea, figuritively speaking. The H20 script pretty much stated 'this is how he dies and he ain't coming back this time' But because it did so well at the box office of COURSE they had to invent a clever scenario in which he never really died. Kinda took away the momentum from this film though, or maybe I'm just being pedantic. :(

Its not just a shame that Halloween 8 ruined this movie, its a fucking disgrace. Halloween has had 9 sequels to date and this was the only one that was half decent. I watched the original Halloween yesterday and i thought to myself "Why did they have to make even one sequel to this horror classic?"
