there's a really easy way to get rid of the shift shock with the M5, just lift off a bit back down to about 3krpm during shifts and you will hardly notice.
i would imagine so, because they both use SMG transmissions, but since the M5 SMG is different via the update and addition of a gear then i'm not sure. you could try it out though, try different revs also, it may be better to get them lower since it's a 6cyl.
