Nice playing. If you want to hear this Bach piece (Partita BWV 1013) played really hot, check out Paula Robison's version on her album Brasileirinho. She has it listed as "Allemande"
Its on iTunes, but YouTube won't let me post the link.
Yes. I believe so. that's why I wrote this..and it's not too difficult to to it...because this tune already had nice and smooth "jazz chord progress" was provided by him ( J.S Bach)..thx for taking time to listen to this!!!
Zhi, this one is also very beautiful. I had started myself to improvise on the changes of same tune. Bach wrote really incredible modern stuff at that time! So I can honestly say: very beautifully done!
Sadly this is the closest recording I can find on here that a boehm flutist plays, that is the closest in baroque style to the original. There is a mistake in the urtext with one note btw, I think you should check maybe?
the way I played in some other new approch, of course I won't follow the traditional way to play it..becasue this is with the backing music, you know that..?
Actually, I changed it when the piece repeat here, I just used the same harmony as before, so you really can not tell that something is not so differences....I appreciated your question!!!
im glad you heard the jazz within the piece because i hear it also when i play it however ive never thought to actually put music to it! We are awesome musicians not bound by tradition lol dont lose that
Thanks for listening! have noticed actually the middle part of this piece has been changed ,I have re-write to another solo instead of the original...
Thanks for responding, hkjazzy.I have enough trouble with regular breathing on flute. I don't think I want to tackle circular breathing, although it must be said that this piece almost demands it! I've never heard anyone play it properly using regular breathing.

It's beautiful. We all know Bach was a closet jazz composer anyway.
Lovely arrangement.

Loved this. Bach, for some reason, does sound good in contemporary arrangements.

..beh, non sono contro la rielaborazione della musica..però con attenzione, quì mi è sembrato un po' troppo audace... ;-)

Dear Lauren!
Thanks so much for your nice msg!! all the best to you!!

doesn't sound jazzy. neither latin.
you play beautiful, and this partita sounds great, but you don't play it with the latin jazz feelin' and style.
swing it, let it fly and dance.
good luck.
