Nice shooting. The 2240 is easy to up grade. You may want to replace the plastic breach with a steel one. I did on my 2260. You can obtain one from the Crosman site.

Crosman use to have their pellets in a plastic box that would clip on your belt or pocket. I saved my boxes and they come in handy. I hate these tins too

not alot really, the 'competition' guns are generally more accurate and powerful. but the others look more realistic, often cheaper aswell, but appeal to casual shooters more.

your aim is not set up right !! at the back unscrew it and turn it round so the little circle on the bottom is now at the top then use the screw to adjust it up and down and the flat head screww at the top to go left and right i can shot a bulleyes from 10 meters away

I have the same gun. The rear sight is reversible. You can either use the peep sight or the notch, which he obviously prefers. Its just a matter of preference. The 'little circle' is called a peep sight.

Hey kid you want another 150 + FPS for your gun put the co2 in hot water not boiling waterbut run under the sink how water 125 defrees for 5 mnutes. i dont want to get a white kid hurt. the crosman tins are easily opened, by holding them evenly all around on both halves. I just opened 4 tins and 2 of them gave trouble but used a shirt for grip and turn evenly on both sides. Wa-la. Makes for great targets after they are empty.

Nice gun, I'm about to get one of those myself and modify it. Loads of great custom parts around for that gun. You said you used gun oil on the tip of the co2 cartridge. BIG nono. Gun oil will ruin your seals and gaskets. You have to use a silicone based lubricant. I discovered that the hard way...
