hey i can adjust my chain and everything, but on my kx250f theres a pin in the lock nuts bolt on the opposite side of the chain and im not sure how to get that out? any help
You make it seem so easy. It takes a bit more in my experience. If you get the slack right by only adjusting one spacer then when you go and align the other side it'll change the slack. But there is a margin for error so it'll probably line up anyways.
can somone help. My chain slak was to much so i loosend up the 11mm bolt, then the chain was to tight. Then i tightend the screw and the wheel doesnt go back. How do i bring it back up to the nut?
do you do any of the stuff where you like put a wrench in the sprocket or anything like that? or do you just put the bike in neutral and pull tight on the top section of the chain thanks hauss
could you please help me. when i try to tighten my chain it only works if i pull the wheel back by hand, when i use the adjusting nuts like in the video the chain gets tighter but the lines on the axle block and on the frame dont move they stay at the same line
Hello there johnny i have a quick Q. the adjustment screws on my swingarm are stripped so i cannot adjust then to tighten up my chain. how should i approach this. should i remove a link from the chain? or what is needed to rreplace the adjustment screws on the swingarm. It's not really worth replacing the entire swingarm but if you know of a way to help me out that would be great. thanks :D
@rukus187777 I would get a tap/die and put a different size in there. If you take a link out, you won't have much adjustment and pushing the rear tire more forward will give you more front end lift.
is that generally the same idea for most bikes? I have a honda cbr 954 sport bike and my chain looks very loose. so i should always measure from the same place as you did in the vid?
@Johnnysshop i dont have a digital vernier, i normally put 3 fingers from where the bolt is though the end of the chain slider would you say this is good enough ? please write back thanks for your help

@quadwayne00 You have to bend the cotter pin, pull it out and then loosen the nut.

My chain guide has snapped off, so is it alright to run it a bit tighter to compensate?
suzukiholdenman 7 months ago
@suzukiholdenman No, it will just stretch. Need to replace it.

ben1996ful 8 months ago
@ben1996ful The only thing it could be is the adjusters are stripped. Not a lot fo go wrong here.
Johnnysshop 7 months ago
So all you have to do to tighten ur chain is to tighten that 11mm bolt?
StraightDank 8 months ago
@StraightDank Yeah, after you loosen the wheel nut. You still have to use the wheel nut,

Fyi i love all your videos they an amazing help! And y is it that my chain gets loose so quickly on my 2008 rmz 250 with a renthal chain n sprocket
216lacrosse 11 months ago
@216lacrosse Thanks! Well it could be a worn chain, wheel could be coming loose or you may be adjusting it too tight allowing it to stretch.

@fcarabat Yeah, about the same. You can measure other places, just make sure it's a loose point in the chain. Next to the sprocket is fairly tight
