It may be a little late to comment on this but Mrs. Weaver ( his wife ) is my choral teacher at KMS and we had the madrigals come to school to sing for us. Mr. Weaver is a fantastic teacher.
Weaver was either the greatest teacher or the biggest jerk in the world depending on what side of the bed he woke up on. I got to say I love the guy and Ms. Rouse is pretty cool, she's rediculously talented but very modest.
HIS!!!!! in 1964 13 year old Elisa Johnson was raped and murdered in North Carolina, her body was found with multiple stab wounds, and now that you've read this, every night she will come to your house and hang from your closet with glowing red eyes, the only way to stop this is to post this to 10 other videos. SORRY I DIDNT WANT HER IN MY ROOM
That was a nice video. I love Mr. Weaver! Too bad orchestra was never as cohesive (thanks Eva). But, that was a fun concert series playing for four hours a night, for four nights. I bet it was fun for them, but I got paid, so I'd have fun anyway. What a shame that I could never be apart of an ensemble like that in high school, but that's why you study on your own and get full tuition scholarships to colleges. Advice: don't do orchestra at Ballard if you value your time and (hopefully) talent.
Wow. This is amazing. I wasn't in Ballard Madrigals last year but I am this year and it's so cool to see how a rehersal went last year during the dinners.
yeah this is really cool .. weaver would hate it b/c his face is like really close to the camera... & i'm left out of all of it lol >.> but that's k it's still nice.
& liz just likes it cause there is a long closeup of ben. lol just kidding.
i have watched this video many times, in the hundreds actually. if you watch closely, there are many clips where the audio and video don't synch; basically every clip except the extended ones. did anyone else find it odd that the sound quality is the same regardless of the camera angle?
I loved the idea of seeing the behind the scene efforts that go into a production. The comments of the choral master were very interesting. It is heart warming to see a group of talented kids come together and enjoy the process of creating something so rich in content. Wished I could see the final production but alas I live in PA.
Oh memories

Ah, I miss madrigals. It's been 6 years, and it's still one of my best experiences. I've got to make it to the dinners soon.

I think this school should come up and visit our madrigals in Ohio. We have a similar sound. Firestone High School.

haha yeah I was thinking that too. Did anyone else find it odd that at parts near the end, the sound and video don't match up? haha
Yes, Ben did get a rather lengthy closeup.. ahaha =] It's not my fault the boy is so cute!!

That's because the videographer hung the mics from a chandalier and then began to shoot video.

how do you know he doesn't like close-ups?
krobb66 4 years ago
who was videotaping this? i was totally unaware of them filming the rehearsals

Not sure, really. I don't really remember anyone taping it either... hmm well, it's still pretty tight, all the same. =]
