this stories wrong: daedelus murdered his nephew, then ran away with his son to crete, where king minos had him build the labirynth to hold the minotaur. one thing leads to another and they get stuck on an island, where daedelus got the idea to build the wax wings to fly away to civilization. while in the air with his son, icorus flies too high, the wax melt, he falls into the ocean and daedelus goes crazy.
Sometimes when Daedelus (However you spell it) talks all I hear is 'mwa bwa, blah, blah' You know when the adults are talking on Charlie Brown or whatever.
I love him! He's so funny! I've always loved the actor that plays him. He plays people like Dalbert in Treasure Planet and other such smart and comedic roles.
he is VERY funny, and starred in Monty Pythons Spamalot on Broadway. Check him out singing "If Ya Wanna have a Broadwayshow, Ya gotta have Some Jews"{which I promise is not anti Semetic, just very hilarious}
Dadalous wasnt real, but there were some historical Greek inventors that really existed.Check out Heron of Alexandria c 152 BC-- c 82 BC, Egypt?
Heron wrote many books on mathematics, physics, geometry, and mechanics. The 'Pneumatica' describes mechanical devices operated by compressed air, water or steam, such as a fire engine, a water organ, and the aeolipile, which is the first steam-powered engine.
The later steam engines of the 18th century were partly based on this design.
oh I forgot!!!! he also invented a coin operated vending machines for holy water and little audio animatronic animals and figures for use in as oracles in temples.Amazing!!!
Yeah, the aeolipile: if he had taken it a couple of steps further, the industrial revolution would've been in the BC era, and all of world history would have been much different.
we would be several centuries ahead of ourselves if the Library of Alexandria hadnt burned down and the barbarians hadnt invaded Europe and the Plague of Justinian hadnt wiped out half the planet.
Yeah. David Hyde Pierce has done voices for Disney before. He was in both A Bug's Life and Treasure Planet. He's more of a stage actor, though. I saw him on Broadway in a show called "Curtains"
Hold on...the voice of King Minos is the same guy who voiced Killer in All Dogs Go to Heaven! Whoa, nice cameo there! :D

@iheartladygaygay2034 We know, but this is Disney. The goal is fun and entertainment, not accuracy.
