Ok, i kinda like his videos, but seriously I never get this tipping problem, is it obligatory??? Each time i didn't tip at a restaurant, it was either because i didn't think the food was worth it's price or i had to wait for 5mn to get a fork!!! If restaurants added the gratuity to your meal, that means you may very well pay EXTRA for shitty service. The guest decides how much to pay us for the service we give- that's why we do our best to make it a good dining experience. Sounds like fast food and take-out are more your lifestyle. Most people like to be catered to in a relaxed atmosphere.
I bet if restaurants paid waitstaff a set dollar amount/hr. (which would be less than $10) ALOT of servers would quit! I can make over $100 in a single 5-6 hr shift. I can adjust my schedule for the week, request extra shifts, take a few days off, ect. My cashflow is just as flexible as my working hours. You do the math. Why would I want to wait 2 weeks for a set dollar amount (most often lousy paycheck)?

I once had a woman come into the dollar store 10 minutes before we closed and tried to get me to stop my end of shift cleaning to watch her baby while she shopped. Yes, people like that shouldn't breed. Who would leave their baby with a stranger???

Ok, i kinda like his videos, but seriously I never get this tipping problem, is it obligatory??? Each time i didn't tip at a restaurant, it was either because i didn't think the food was worth it's price or i had to wait for 5mn to get a fork!!! And then when i pay, the guy has the guts to remind me that i didn't tip him??? Um, i didn't forget it's my money i paid for the food so fuck the hell OFF!!

The word, 'TIP' isn't just a made up word.Its an acronym for:To Insure Proper Service.Since you don't make a habit of tipping,you should have NOTHING to complain about.If I recognized you,I'd make sure not to be at your beckon call and not to go above and beyond to serve you the best dinner and dining experience.Keep in mind, that most waitstaff make less than min. wage/hr.We rely on good tips to earn money.

I really am not trying to offend anyone, it's just that concept offends me, if tipping is kind of obligatory why don't they just add it on the food price! I am not going to a restaurant to get served! I go because i wan't someone to cook for me something nice that's all, so i don't really care about the service as long as i get my food!

If restaurants added the gratuity to your meal, that means you may very well pay EXTRA for shitty service. The guest decides how much to pay us for the service we give- that's why we do our best to make it a good dining experience. Sounds like fast food and take-out are more your lifestyle. Most people like to be catered to in a relaxed atmosphere.

I bet if restaurants paid waitstaff a set dollar amount/hr. (which would be less than $10) ALOT of servers would quit! I can make over $100 in a single 5-6 hr shift. I can adjust my schedule for the week, request extra shifts, take a few days off, ect. My cashflow is just as flexible as my working hours. You do the math. Why would I want to wait 2 weeks for a set dollar amount (most often lousy paycheck)?

I feel for ya, dude. I've seen the behavior of some people in restaurants - particularly kids, but I blame the parents, - and it's one of those reasons I will not work food service. I'm a librarian instead.

Same way you get any other, ask around or look for "help wanted" ads and fill out applications...
Worked in a small town library where parents used to drop their kids off for an afternoon while they worked... I think they were under the mistaken impression that I was a babysitter.
