@ThePieIsLie this was part of it ( not because of the movie itself but because he felt he was loosing what he use to have ) but there was other reasons also to make him want to die , like certain friends of his taking advantage of him . anyhow as for the director from what I heard there was a certain actor that had some pull with the director that asked to pull the scene aswell as keep jon in the back ground because he figured jon would take the spotlight from him .thats what I heard.
Yeah, I doubt this contributed entirely to his suicide but it played a big part I'm sure. He gets excited about having a little part in a big movie then gets scrubbed out of it. It's sad. :/

I find it a bit depressing that he had no speaking lines in the movie, or that they were cut from the final version. All we get to see of Jon for the most part is just small clips in different scene cuts.

Definately, and Jonathon's talent in this scene is absolutely apparent. He's the only one there that really conveys that they'll all freezing their butts off out there (this is during the Battle of the Bulge ... one of the coldest Winters in recent European history). They really should have given him a better role.

It is too bad they cut so many of Johnathon's lines from this movie, and plenty of the scenes he was actually in ended up on the editing room floor.
However, he did have some pretty good movies in his career before this, never ending story 2, Sidekicks etc. R.I.P. JB
