Love the bottle bit!! I think the champagne thing perhaps exemplifies the Labour government over the last 12 years- so much hope and excitement only to be broken by incompetence!!!!
That night in 1997 was one of the best nights for the UK that i ever witnessed - even though i was only a young teenager at the time. Seeing those Tories crooks getting voted out and their faces - priceless.
Under New Labour I qualified as an Optometrist and although i pay a lot in taxes, i would never want to go back to those dark days of crooked Tory rule.
The Labour Party used to be anti immigration and its reason for existence was to fight for the British worker. Now it fights for the right for every country to come here.
when have Labour been anti-immigration?Their 2nd ever PM, Clement Atlee allowed free immigration for people of countries which use to be under BritishEmpire rule(persumbly as treat considering Britain stole all their natural resources and killed millions in their homeland)also Harold Wilson continued this, until social disrest after seeing images of indian immigrants,he tightend the rules, but realised the importance of immigrants.Labour have and will support immigration, which is a good thing
Funny that , how every child now has an equal oppourtunity and not only the priveleged are well educated ! , maybe the morales that people such as yourself instill in the youth of today have something to do with the deliquency you describe?
without benefits our workforce and their children (the future workforce) would crumble , and there would be an ever widening social class gap - ooo strange your party nationalised cleaning sevices of the NHS leading to the superbug epidemic of today ? idiot.
The Conservatives may be leading in the polls at the moment, however, would David Cameron be able to take on the world banking system like Gordon Brown has? I think not, the reality Labour has leadership that is working unlike the Tories and the SNP who pander to what is popular at the time
the tories did enough damage over the years!!! theres no other significant party for the working classes....so stick to the devil you know, than vote tory n jump from the frying pan into the fire.
I bet you know looooaads about politics and are not just jumping on the "We would rather a slimeball ran the country" bandwagon. Sorry, is that sentence too long for you? Wouldn't want to overwork your floppy little brain.
Don't agree, we had a lot of good things under labour, it's only in the last 2 years with the likes of Ruth Kelly et al in charge that things fell to pieces.
10 years of incompetence, political correctness, betrayal of our democracy to the EU, sleaze, scandal, corruption, illegal wars, broken promises, boom and bust economy ...no need to go on, we all know how the last 10 years turned out...
Nu Labour are scum and falkirkbairn....trust me on this, there will be no victory for Bottler Brown in 2 years time....Labour are finished....
Not for 11 years? No. New Labour has failed to deliver during the entire 11 years it has been in office. Just a little longer until the entire PR operation is put out of its missery. Happy day, happy times, will be here again.
Labour is now where the Conservatives were back in 97. I wonder what will happen in the next 12 years.........

Where are the values in labour?
Children smoking weed in a park after a day in school where they are taught absolutely nothing?
People getting given money off of the government for sitting around all day getting fat?
Or how about visiting the NHS and coming out with worse illnesses then you had going in?

Ah shut it!
Labour majority of 179 was so sweet, and better even than that awful horsebreath Thatcher ever managed!

Thatcher was bad in my oppinion, but Blair was as bad. Brown is just a puppet - hell they all are, but Brown seems especially so.

I love seeing the 1997 election footage. All those hopes and dreams that came to nothing. Chosing that song as well, what a mistake!
