  • A fun thing to do to people who canvass your neighborhood with garbage like this is to invite them into your home, sit them down on a couch, and tell them all about how you worship Odin, Thor, and Loki, and that you intend to die with a sword in your hand one day so that you'll be able to enter the kingdom of Valhalla. Offer them some cookies, say, "Sorry...you were saying?" and smile and nod. Don't accept any reading materials. See how long they stay. They likely won't return.

  • To all the scoffers - the day cometh that burneth hotter than an oven...

  • Im in agreement till you think it's trespassing on your property to put a flier, letter, bill, notice of non-payment or any other document in your letter box. I hear this stupid non-logic every day at work when people threaten my company with tresspassing on their property because we sent them a letter for non-payment of services which we then threaten to terminate. Sending a letter is not trespassing on your property. - just a sore point cos I have to listen to that idea 5 days a week

  • Any unwanted flyers are a waste of freaking paper and l hate to think some people will fall for the old problem, reaction, solution con game . However l did "favorite" this video because l laughed myself to tears . Thank you, l needed that .

  • Generally, property rights trump free speech. The amount of trees consumed for the dissemination of this smut is disheartening. One pragmatic piece of advice to all: in the context of getting religious fliers on vehicles, make sure to throw them on the ground. I hate littering, but if enough people publicly litter, city governments will be forced to make this proselytizing more difficult. By properly discarding religious propaganda, you are complicit in perpetuating their social nuisance.

  • @myerssa7 I agree with you in spirit, but I think the end result would just be a messier streetscape. Politicians tend not to legislate against Christians.

What about some sort of system by which unwanted propaganda somehow is returned to whence it came?

  • @hagenar Your point is well taken; however, we have a long tradition of Christian politicians discriminating against less popular Christians in the US, those who most typically proselytize (JW, Mormons). A messier streetscape might induce an ordinance requiring propagandist registration and licensing, so that we know whom to bill to clean up the mess they leave behind. They are the ones littering by leaving unsolicited material, IMO. Your idea is good, as long as the fundies foot the bill.

  • Over 3000 gods worshiped today? (does not include hindu as the number would go over 330 million)

So many to choose from. Now I'm confused.

  • I don't know if it should be illegal, but you can see how it's essentially a con-job:

step 1: convince them that they lack something

step 2: convince them that they NEED that thing they lack

step 3: convince them that you have what they need

step 4: by this point they should willfully "purchase the product"

the most irritating part of this for me is that people will fall for it

  • Aren't those the same first four steps of the AA 12 step program?

  • If this god person was so unpleased with his creation he should 've blamed it on himself and not the human race. You don't blame the kid if his parents suck at parenting.

    Ai, ai ai ai ai.

  • @NinjaOutfitInTheWash Are you Alpha? I've been looking for you. Teleport to us five overbearing and over-emotional humans.

  • @onijester56 No, but I wish I was. My overbearing and over-emotional self is very annoying at times, though.

  • Funny thing about Jesus death is that he forsaked his life for our sins, but them he resurrected. He got back the only thing he gave to save us, so he sacrificed nothing. Jesus was either a fuck*ing moron, or a very smart business man.

  • I have recently noticed that atheists are usually the people who are the fattest, laziest, least healthy and least happy people. After reading the comments it seems that they are so angry about what others believe that they cant even see how ugly they themselves have become. Atheism is not equal to ugliness but most athiests are ugly inside and out... Its almost like the ICP following... those are some really ranchy people...

  • @JohnnyVegaz007

Perceptive bias my friend, you see what you want to see.

    .

What I've noticed is that minorities in countries complain more than majorities, because they have more to complain about, what with them usually suffering under the heel of the majority. I wonder why you call atheists ugly inside and out.

    .

Are you Christian? Do you feel threatened by atheist comments?

  • Why not invoice the advertised church for say $350 for your front porch marketing service. Send them a bill with full legal paperwork & treat you porch/front door, as a legitimate marketing service. You are entitled claim any price you expect for the use of this marketing service. Also provide them with the constructive criticism of their literature (you have already produced), so they can't claim you are trying to charge them for nothing and thank them for their patronage " & do come again" ;)

  • 1. There is no such thing as sin.

    2. See number 1

    3. Why should I believe? Give one good reason that can be proven. I have nothing againts the idea's of gods and such, but I have no reason to believe. My mom and dad telling me it's all true isn't enough, they know no more then I do.

    4. I have nothing to confess. No crime has been commited.

I'm a white man. I have no interest in the ancient myths and legends of Jewish people unless their god appears to me himself and starts talking.

  • I think we should have the very people that leave such things on people's property have the final say. That is . . . we go to the church advertized in the flier and leave fliers about skepticism and atheism on their property. (Ideally, we'd find the addresses of some of the people that leave such fliers, but that's more work). If they're cool with it, it's all ok. If they complain, then the reasons they give should apply to them

  • I just think it is silly to believe that "God" created the concept of sins and gave us our ability to sin and then supposedly died for our sins yet we still are able to sin just as much as before. And I think the whole notion of sacrifice is offensive. I pay my own debts, thank you very much. I do not demand a sacrifice, nor would I sacrifice myself.

People should hand out their ridiculous pamphlets on public property.

  • Yikes, fire too! Man, IMHO, there will be a HUGE change coming to this land when people start waking up (not those traumatized by violence though) they'll be stuck talking to the voice in their heads.

So, just gather up ye faithful atheists that refuse to pray; you'll need eachother even more in the future. Government will be too busy cleaning up the mess of faith/industry of it all.

  • Jesus would threaten the following:

    Atheist

    feminazis

    Socialists

    Mormons

    abortion doctors

  • I'd kick Jesus in the balls if he ever threatened me.

  • Well that explains the right wingers!! lol

  • Yes! And hardly anybody notices that OUR sin is not forgiven. It's ONLY the sin of those who believe this shit. Those who are not so gullible are thrown under the bus from the believers POV. We are the stepping stones on the lakes of fire that allow believers to reach their 'stairway to heaven'.

  • well the concept behind jesus dying for our sins was that a price had to paid, and God couldnt just write it off or it would invalidate what he said, so the "debt" is paid by someone else and you choose to let them pay and avoid acruing anymore, however many things that are seen as sins really arent paid things while many bad things are advocated, so many problems with logic in application, a problem with orig. sin is you shouldnt be responsible for something that happened before you existed

  • night..

Tell me, how much of a sacrifice was it 4 god to sacrifice himself to himself, to appease himself 4 our sins which we were cursed with by Eve's fall which is very questionable & how the hell is it justice to curse humanity 4 Eve's "disobedience?" She didn't even know good from evil yet but the sins of mankind would come from her actions?

So finally, JC died for us & then what? He's god! He's eternal, He's Omniscient, Omnipotent!! What sacrifice did he make?

  • the sacrifice would be the suffering he endured, but yes its not like he died in the sense of ceasing to exist or going to hell or anything, and although what Jesus endured was quite a bit, there are plenty of people who have endured much worse things than Jesus. and the punishment being needed is because he said Adam would die the day he ate it-which can be taken different ways. If he didnt then God would have lied, I will agree objectively its not a just reason for anyone to be killed.

  • its funny that christians dont belive douing the right thing and think that jesus will forgive them everything if they just belive in him. that wuold explane why so many christians trhou out history have comited the most imoral and crule acts that have ever comited

  • lololo thank god i am not living in the usa

  • Ha ha, I personally collect pamphlets like these. There's something about the amount of professionalism put into so much ignorance that gets me thinking, among things. :)

  • You got personally assaulted by a Jehovah Witness.

    Letigo. (Let it Go.)

I in no way condone their actions, but atheists and Theists alike, they will bug the hell out of you and have some sort of right to do so, because it's a part of their religion and does not break any supreme court law... (Like murder, arson, breaking and entering etc.)

They just kinda stuck a note in your door. Vandalism I guess. My consolation would be to find a Jehovah Witness and tell him to go know himself.

  • My intention is not to insult any religion with this example but last new years i was in Turkey celebrating with my family. A group of people protested "New Years" calling it the "birth of Christ" and an "anti-islamic" holiday and announcing all other religions "devils work" and their followers "enemies". It's our allowance of breach of privacy like this that allows for extremists to find the courage, without truly understanding,

  • (continued) what the opposing view says, be it another religion or lack there of. It's prejudiced in any case, and it's got no foundation to be prejudiced, no justification for its hatred/anger (not that there ever would be justification for those two things) because it does not fully understand, or even try to understand, the view point of its 'chosen enemy'. Through the words of Hitchens and Dawkins moderatism lays the foundation for social acceptance of extremism!

  • Comment removed

  • The title alone is good enough, lol!

  • Wow this is some scary shit, Score 1 for the theist community.. Demand followers with the tool of fear... Or else.

It's a very childish notion of allegiance.

Repent for your sins or go to hell.

Be good or Santa wont bring you presents.

Furthermore, if there was a god, he doesn't deserve worship. But then again, even Hitler had worshipers.

  • I completely agree, something should be done about proselytizing. It gets even worse when the local church discovers that you are of another faith, esp. us Pagans, or an Atheist. Why are they so threatened by the Atheist videos anyway? Most that I have seen are very interesting and clearly created by intelligent people who simply have an opposing viewpoint. How strong can their faith be if that threatens it?

  • I work as a cashier, and I get that stuff dumped on me and my coworkers all the time. I took one home, once, that said "Is there such a place as hell?" on the front. It's the same format as the one you showed there. Course, we also had some pens and pencils that say 'Another Lipstick Republican for Palin' in loopy, over-complex writing on them. That made pretty much the whole staff laugh.

  • alright he died for u'r sins yet u'r born a sinner.born a sinner yet if a baby dies it goes straight to heaven.yeah i'm with u there don't make a lot of since u'd think with so much on the line god could of made it a little bit more clear..very contradicting.guess they will rewrite it soon to fit modern mans views.or just keep making new religions..

  • You're damn right it's not rocket science, cos rocket science actually makes sense.

God doesn't want us to go to hell, so he sends himself down to earth to be sacrificed, to himself, inorder for him to allow himself to forgive the sinners.

So now inorder for US to be saved, we have to believe that he sent himself to be sacrificed to himself inorder to allow himself to forgive us.

    Definitely not rocket science.

  • Jesis Crust! They're right! I better convert to Christianity right away. brb!

  • I love the buzzer to my flat. I live near a church that sends these people out all the time (but to actually talk to you) and having a casual chat over the intercom about what a sinner I am while they stand in the rain with zero chance of being let in always puts me in a good mood.

My record is keeping one 13mins while its was raining.

  • I find such things offensive. However, as an anarchist, I would do nothing "legal" about it. I might call up the church and bitch them up one side and down the other. One unwarranted intrusion deserves another, right?

Besides, destroying the faith or mind of a dipshit is fun.

You probably wouldn't believe the number of "non judgmental" christians who've damned me to hell. I feel so... condemned! LOL. Not really. I do feel contempt for adults who believe in fairy tales.

  • My thoughts are that, yes, it is offensive. However, it is far better for them to pass unsolicited messages to me than to some desperate person somewhere else, because I won't get suckered into their Ponzi Scheme. So I am wasting their time and resources for the good of mankind. Plus, it is fun to read, especially in large groups while everyone takes shots when the word "sin" is mentioned.

  • Possible silver lining: This is actually the work of a subtle prankster, intended to illustrate the hilarious incongruencies of "Christianity"?

  • The pamphlet is indeed offensive, and the person who left it certainly trespassed. But if I were you, I would just recycle it and move on. I understand your annoyance, and I'd feel the same way, but I am not sure what there is to gain by lobbying for an anti-religious-pamphlet law.

Here's an idea: Perhaps you could respond with your own "Four Steps", atheist style?

Thanks for posting. BTW, I am new to YouTube and a new subscriber. Your channel was one of the first I added.

  • I stopped visiting protestant churches over this very kind of thing. Never joined one.

I feel that it's wrong to dice up the Jesus story and turn it into emotional blackmail, guilt-trip, and false accusations.

I remain a catholic, however lapsed, as such.

I don't believe in original sin either.

    Happy Holidays.

  • If I could, I would classify that pamphlet as 'hate speech'. They're basically saying that "You are a sinner, and, if you don't do as Jesus says, you're going to be thrown into a lake of fire and tortured forever..."

Sounds like a threat to me...

  • This was so good and so true! Yeah it pisses me off when I get propaganda like this shoved in my door and its insulting garbage.

  • Somebody should make a pamphlet wording it the way you do in this video ... add more to it of course...

"Your life is shit... here are for steps to make it better"

    1. Realize that you are a piece of shit.

    2. Admit that you are weak and can't do anything about it.

    3. Believe that humpty dumpty fell off of the wall so you could have breakfast every sunday morning.

    4. Tell everyone how worthless you are, and eggs and grape juice make you a better person.

    something like that

  • LOL.

  • IF you did put out a pamphlet like that, everyone would raise hell, and probably try to pass a law against it. I don't think we should pass laws against it but if at the same time that law includes knocks on my door and annoying phone calls by anyone selling anything or idea I would be tempted!

  • yeah isn't that funny?...

I don't freak out when someone says "believe in god, he believes in you"..

But if something were said about not believing in god... people would freak out

  • Americas Cancer...

    Christian Fundamentalism

Thank Zeus we dont have to put up with that here in canada

  • Apparently you don't live in Alberta.

  • Its so refreshing to hear common sense. Great video!

  • Great video! Maybe you should file a harassment or assault charge since this classifies as a threat. If someone did that then maybe we would get less offensiveness from churches.

  • "How does the physical death of a metaphysical being have any effect of my moral indiscretions?" Man, I love the way you phrased that! Great Video!

  • : )

    Glad you're back, my friend.

  • when i see them coming up to the door I just don't answer. IF they leave one, I usually just throw it in the trash like junk mail and all the other BS flyers & door hangers we get (siding, home improvement, pizza etc.)

I don't think there should be laws to control it. ThHe less government interference, the better.

  • "I don't think there should be laws to control it. ThHe less government interference, the better."

    (r)Amen to that!

  • @cv1122 shit they come to my door and im fucking with them HARD trust me they would not come back to my house without a preist and an exorcist

  • Have your living lord stop by for tea and biscuits sometine, I'd like to have a chat with him in person.

  • fishermead :

But I don't WANT eternity with the dead lord. Who would?

I'll make the most of this life, the one and only existence I will ever experience.

You can life a deluded life of sheer fantasy if you wish but I would advise you to think again. Tomorrow may be toO late.

  • You can't figure out how to say "No thanks"? I do that every day to vacuum cleaner salesmen, those who claim I won a trip to cancun, sell me magazines, take a survey, and those who want to redo my roof (why do they all not like my roof?). Why should Christians have fewer rights to bug you than magazine salesmen?

  • I'm not sure that any of those people has a 'right' to be on my property. I am also having a hard time locating the right to 'bug people' in my constitution.

As you know, I CAN, 'figure out how to say, "No thanks" '. Thanks for pointing out all of my options.

If you really want to discuss my options, we can do that: Option 1: I can believe this fairytale. Option 2: I can roast on a spit in hell.

  • "I'm not sure that any of those people has a 'right' to be on my property."

I guess my confusion is how you are distinguishing between those handing out tracks for Christian stuff and those handing out tracks for selling magazines. Post a "no trespassing" sign if you want no one to bug you. Other people do want to be "bugged" as 1000s sign up for Bible studies, vacation bible schools, etc from door to door contacts. 1000s buy magazines and vacuum cleaners too. Most of us don't want either.

  • "I guess my confusion is how you are distinguishing between those handing out tracks for Christian stuff and those handing out tracks for selling magazines."

I don't distinguish between the two in a legal sense. Both are unwanted, and borderline illegal.

Thanks for your advice on the sign. I'm going to go and post a "No Trespassing" sign now, and then maybe I'll go take a dip in my nearest neighbors pool who DOESN'T have a similar sign posted. Ollie Ollie Oxen Free!!

  • The sign puts people on notice. Thus eliminating an implied invitee status that can be asserted for knocking on front doors. Of course every jurisdiction has slightly different laws, and there are differences between civil actions and criminal complaints.

  • "Why should Christians have fewer rights to bug you than magazine salesmen?"

Because of their hateful "you gonna burn in hell if you don't follow my version of this fairytale"-message?

Yeah I think that's a pretty good reason.

  • I think of it as comedy. I save such material for my son. He is writing a book about commonly held false beliefs and he loves this kind of stuff. Of course, if they ring my doorbell, I set aside at least 30 minutes to talk to them. It's very fun! But they don't usually come back.

  • I think that is a very healthy way to look at it. : )

  • Wouldn't it be cool if the Atheist community had the cohesion to make it possible to print up our own flayers to distribute around town? Maybe then they would be able to see how annoying it is. We could interrupt their supper, bother them when they are late for appointments, Knock on their door and take up a bunch of their time to discuss something they don't want to talk about. :)

I wonder how many would be as polite as I am when faced with the same situation, not many I bet

  • well I'm of the opinion they have the right to say/hand out literature all they want, even as much as I disagree with them.

But you introduced a nice caveat, leaving it on YOUR property. They have no right to leave anything on your property.

In as much as that I would say at the most knock on your door and see if you want it, but otherwise they shouldn't leave it.

Private property means a lot to me.

  • Yea, I think the fact that it is my own property makes a big difference. If there is one place I should be free of this it is at my home. If atheists left flyers explaining how religion is bullshit, and a religious persons kids found it, the shit would hit the fan. Why is this no different?

  • Lol, maybe you should put up a sign on your property saying "trespassers will be shot"

  • We all must endure this "advertising". I've kept some of the worst ones as examples. Can you retaliate by sending them messages that if they don't stop they will burn in their sleep? Nah that would be a crime now wouldn't it.

  • EXACTLY my point! I wish I would have actually said it that way.

  • they all hand the bloody things out in town. I make a point to take three so they can go home just that little bit quicker.

  • I'm happy to include posting of political or religious flyers through my door in the concept of freedom of speech. Whilst irritating, it isn't really harmful - and in my mind the causing of harm is what limits freedom of speech.

Tell me I'm going to hell for being an abomination - blah blah, I don't believe in hell. KEEP telling me - that's harassment. Maybe that's your answer - send notice in writing to this church that you want no more leaflets. If they persist - it's harassment.

  • You're right, I am certainly not harmed by it. Perhaps I should just go back to laughing at the flyers.

  • Meh, just throw it in the trash instead of reading it. That's what I do.

Once I removed all Christian adds some people had put on the cars there, to save the drivers from road rage. I might have saved lives, unlike they thought they did.

  • there = on a parking under ground. I forgot mentioning that.

  • Now, THERE is a good summaritan.

  • lol, thnx... sorry, I mean I'm humbled ;)

  • Well I always try to see the positive side of things. In this case it´s good if you were heading to the store.

Jesus christ can sure come handy when you´re low on toilet-paper.

  • But these pamphlets give us a good laugh, don't they? These poor guys really believe that we aren't all Christians just because we haven't heard the 'good news'. And with all their talk of fire and brimstone they're turning people off religion, which can only be a good thing.

  • Every soiled diaper has a silver lining. Good on you for seeing it.
