  • 3385 plays at this time! Perhaps I should re release it as a download along with Real Love and the earlier track Take What You Need.

    Mark Wesley (Writer / Producer)

  • im so glad youve put this on you tube i cant get this anywhere ive tried almost everything it was one of my favourite songs when i was 15 and it still is very good xxx

  • I bought this bak in the day ! Luv it.

Still hav it along with all my hundreds of vinyls.

  • Mark Wesley I did not know you were behind this song until I spoke to Dave Christain.Even now, after all these years it still sounds great.

  • Leroy Brown was in fact Charley Crane who sadly died a few years ago. I wrote, produced and co-arranged the record as well as played bass and guitar. I also sang backing vocals with Charley. It was recorded in London.

I also wrote, produced co-arranged and played on all the Philadelphia Flyer's records. Run & Hide was released in the UK on GM records and became a top 10 club hit in LA and New York on Casablanca.

Thanks for your interest: Mark Wesley (ex Radio Luxembourg)

  • A magic record. Thanks for posting.

  • I love this song....

I played it that many times in the mid 70s I wore it out ...I can still play the Instrumental B side but my vocals are not up to Leroys {lol} Can you get it on a CD....

  • Thanks I am glad you like it as for CD I have just seen this on a 7" single on eBay for only 99p and it says mint con. The auction lasts for two days 21 hours and it is 12.15 am 10 June when I have posted this so there is plenty of time to grab a bargain and a slice of your youth back. just go to music then 7" then tap in the title, go on go for it good luck, let me know if you get it

  • Thanks man! Great memories!

  • Thank you

  • Not a bad track. I got this when it fist came out. Was it the same producer as the Philadelphis Flyers/'Hot Line' and 'Run and Hide'?

  • Hi 55Motown the answer to your question is no the Philadelphia Flyers both wrote and produced Run and Hide, and it was arranged Gerry Shury. It was released the same year as this though 1975 but released on the Casablanca record label

  • Thanks iGuy101. I think 'Run and Hide' was way ahead of its time. A bit like The Real Thing and 'Plastic Man'. I am really enjoying the hard work you put into this. The tunes are great.....

  • Thank you

  • je kiff LOL =)
