I've never understood why Rudy was elevatede to superhiman status on 9-11. His policies allowed illegals into NYC with no fear of reprisals. The WTC had been bombed on his watch yet he still maintained a command center there. He got to go home to his own bed. Ray NAgin is deplored as a horrible leader. How would Rudy have fared under Nagin's circumstances? Not as noble, I'd bet.

Mayor Nagin IS a horrible leader. I lived in New Orleans and I'm glad I didn't live there during Katrina. Nagin did not stand up and do anything...instead, he put the responsibility on the state government to handle everything..., and Governor Blanco folded under the pressure.
