The mixing on this reminds me of the first album from the Morning After Girls and a bit like the mixing on the Passion Pit album, where the vocals really sound like they're back in the mix. I wonder if they really did record the vocals in an empty, cavernous place, or if this is the result of a fantastic reverb plugin. The nice thing is that it contributes to the song's bigness, making it feel more epic.
