It looks like that, but it's actually a dive kick canceled into EX Mantis Slashes.

ok, you can't cancel the dive into the slashes, but I know what you mean. After he lands, he does the slashes and gets hit out, but the ex trails go back to the dive kick? some odd looking thing.

Its simple. The EX flash's trails are done using previous frames.

I tested it in slomo, thats what I saw. So, if you activate the EX right when you land, one of the few previous frames is Yang in his Dive kick.

So you can see a quick yellow flash of Yang in his dive kick.

I'm surprised that I never see ppl hit-confirm the t+mk into Dudley's Jet Upper or his t+mk chain combo; esp. when that'd k.o. the opponent. It's used mostly as a poke or to link into super.
