  • Nice guitar i am thinking of buying one to replace my old strat-is the body as thick as a Fender?

    Nice job with the demo

  • @ksac35 seemed as thick as a fender body to me

  • How are the tone controls wired on these? Neck/Middle like normal?

  • @smoss469 yes, it had a standard wiring

  • 0:45 Walk, Don't Run!!

  • I really enjoy your vids (and found them from searching for this guitar awhile ago). I esp. enjoyed the warmoth guitar build (brave drilling my friend), and your freak camp vid. Just wanted to ask if you kept/still played this guitar. I'm looking for a beater strat for carrying around between work/school/home/practice space and read that this had a 12" radius, which I like more than the standard Squier 9.5. I do some composing/recording at school so I would like something that sounds okay!

  • @JeremiahPaddock thanks a lot

I sold this guitar when I decided to build my Warmoth, since I won't need 2 strat type of guitars

the radius was a bit bigger than most strats as far as I can remember, but it felt alright.

yes, these sound ok and are definitely usable

  • Just sent the fiesta red one back. The day i got it.

It had a swimming pool route. The guitar for the money over all, was not bad but honestly, besides the body having a not so strat shape and weighing a ton, it was not worth the money. They are not better than MIM Strats. for almost 200 or just a bit more, I would buy a Vibe strat or tele or an MIM used. On the plus side, you can buy a mighty mite neck and get all the PU's and parts from GFS and that would be a great investment..JMHO...

  • @6gpower mine had a normal strat weight, but they surely have lighter and heavier ones

MIM are probably better, I agree

  • Yep, you know what they say, it's the Indian, not the arrow.

  • @dave1sfx might be true ;)

  • how's the hardware on this guitar? tuners and bridge?

  • @ivncdo0809 hi, tuners where alright, the bridge too

the bridge didn't really work as a trem, it looks like a trem, but it was basically a fixed bridge

  • Nice, I bought the X-500 (les paul copy) to MOD and its an ok guitar also. The GFS pups are pretty good for the price. I will admit seeing your video almost makes me want one but then again I'm always looking for another guitar :)

  • @rogerwilco59 thanks

true, the pickups aren't expensive, but they do sound good

enjoy your X-500 (I'm the guitarist from the video, I'm only logged in with my new username right now)

  • the Frets are they mostely even

    How big are the frets

    the fatness of the neck

anything you can offer about the neck will be greatly appreciated

  • @EJG5150 hi, the frets are around medium and there was only one buzz problem at the 16th fret on the high e side, but otherwise it was alright. Neck was nice, around medium, not a thin neck

  • Hey man! Nice vid!

Do you prefer the Xaviere XV-870 or a Squier Standard Stratocaster?

    Thanks for the help

  • @thmz91 thanks (I'm just answering from my new account)

I never had a squier standard, so I can't really tell

but if you select a Squier in the shop by yourself (instead of ordering one online) you shure can find a really great strat if you keep looking long enough

  • About the only thing good on these guitars are the finish, other that that it's like playing a peace of drift wood

  • @adoraloveshim242 well, I thought the one I had was quite good, they probably vary in quality. The only problem that I had was that the 15th fret was a bit to hight at the high e side... I have a Warmoth now, big improvement

  • Do you think this guitar is worth buying???

  • it's a nice guitar, but it depends: It's possible that you love it at first, but maybe later you want a real Fender strat.

I built myself a warmoth (there is also a video of that on my channel) which is way better, but also way more expensive

  • do they come with 9 or 10 gauge strings?

  • hi, I'm pretty sure they were 9s (I'm the guy from the video, I'm just answering from my new youtube account... in case you're wondering)

  • well, by the time I bought it I just wanted a strat for it's clean sounds, to record some parts and stuff, but not as my main guitar.

  • You don't need an MIA guitar to get good sounds from a guitar. The Xaviere's are decent guitars. Alnico Pickups, full size blocks, vintage spaced trem units. A good player can make any guitar sound good through a decent amp. Its about what you can do with your hands not the tool

  • Made in America is not what it use to be..There is absolutely nothing wrong with this guitar..I'll take an Agile Les Paul over an over priced Gibson anyday.

  • @ericdeankilla all you pay for in those guitars is the brand name. i have an american fender and its not the best guitar ever made. it sounds like any other guitar just the price tag is higher.

  • How good is this exactly?

Good as a mim fender strat?

    Is it good quality/tuners/etc?

  • it's an OK guitar and really great for the price. I'm sure that there are some mim strats out there that are better than the Xaviere, but more expensive

  • Thanks

  • That's some nice sweeping your doing there.

  • very nice hows the neck

  • The neck is quite nice. Not as thin as the usual Squire or Fender neck they sell these days, which is good IMO.

  • omg
