Cliff is not only NOT gay, he is a devout conservative Christian. The gay stuff was speculation because he didn't marry and had a male roommate... who was strictly a roommate. There is an interview with Cliff on YouTube about this. Now Olivia is an earth-worshipper and it's all about Gaia with her. Those two beliefs are not compatible. Hence, no marriage here.

Morning Suz i am not joining in any arguments either but i HAVE heard of Dennis and the Buckinghams!Many factors contribute to success in the music industry,sometimes it is a matter of purely luck rather than talent and your label management (or lack of) at the time and if you are ''current''.Cliff is a stayer and does not need the US and for me that says it all really :0)

Excuse me, Miss...I am assuming you are from the U.K.(must know all about music, right) I am all grown up, and know a "shanty" excuse for talent. Cliff may be a big deal where you're from, but the only reason he was "used", was because he was a bigger name then Dennis Tufano. Dennis was the catalyst to that song, and Cliff copied every note. Sorry this was bigger then you and I. I guess it is a matter of taste.

Why was Dennis around 40 yrs less? Cliffs record is amazing hit records all around the world over the last 50 years, not just the UK. A number one hit in every decade since the fifties. Nobody else has ever done that not even the King.(Elvis).

He is about to try and achieve a number one in the sixth decade now, in September. I wish him luck it could be an unbeatable record in the history of music. It may even be as it stands.How does Dennis or anyone else for that matter stack up against that?

Like I said one top ten hit for Cliff (in fifty years), Five top Ten hits for Dennis (while he was in the Buckinghams for 4 years). No argument here. So being you're not a math major, Dennis had 5 Top ten hits in 4 years, Cliff had ONE major hit in the U.S in over 50 years. You understand now?

Cliff is not only a national treasure and been nighted for his fantastic achievements and charity work, he has had hits in almost every country of the world over 50 years. What is Dennis doing now? Why do a lot of (not all) Americans think the whole world revolves around the US?

How many records have they sold? How many sell-out concerts have they performed. Even at the age of 68 - Cliff can still sing (in fact in many ways he's better now than 50 years ago, he makes excellent records - and he's certainly well above the likes of even the Beatles in singing ability and performance.

Here here! I think Cliff only missed out on the 6th decade record because of digital downloads being counted now in the charts - the golaposts and rules have all changed over the 50 years. He's still a true star, eh?! :-)
