@sooperfukker I'm a converted muslim, I growed up in an arabic and muslim family, but I've considered myself as a deist when I was 13 years old. I was near to death, so I decided to make some research, I've read the Bible and I found a lot of mistakes, then I read the Quran, and I found a lot of scientifics facts that nobody could know 1431 years ago like the fact that:
- God created all His creatures from water
- The earth is round
- The Universe is in expansion
- The ground is moving

Well first of all, in my country CNN, is not to be received on TV.
And then, even slightly educated people know that there are different streams in Islam, people who are moderate and people who are very fundamental and extremist.
Very unfortunately, these groups do not actively seperate from each other, their faith based solidarity is what causes all muslims great problems, rightfully so, because it raises questions about islamic values and the islamic world view in general.

I know that the muslim community is a minority in India (100 millions of muslims for 1 billion indian), and the minority is always the persecuted not the persecutor. @MowOkan I agree that there is plenty of blame to go around.But u need to read up on Sikhism and understand why their religion is a martial one-why they took arms. They did so direclty because of muslim oppression.Granted this occurred 400-500 yrs ago but still there are still wounds.Tbh I m not a fan of any of the abrahamic relgions.I prefer eastern philosophy, celtic lore and native indian traditions. Respect for nature, people, land and humanity means mroe to me than praying to a silly god.

One day, I had hearth problems, I thought I was gonna die, so I've decided to search God, I've done research, I was ready to be christian or muslim, not jew because there is no conversion in Judaism, and not polytheist because it has no sense for me, I means, making a statue and praying it... it's not my thing.

After reading and journeying through most scriptures my final one is the Vedas. They are ancient and extensive. Bhagavad-Gita As It Is by Srila Prabhupada puts all others together for me and makes perfect sense. Read all scriptures and love God and be happy!

Imagine Adam and Eve, 90 feet tall-what huge beds they would have had to make for them and all their children!

A lot of converts start out living just the same as they would have before their conversion. It's usually after they learn about the core Islamic concepts do they begin to change their lifestyle (prayers, fasting, modesty, etc)
I don't think he converted just for marriage. No offence to his wife, but it seems that she would have agreed to marry him regardless of whether he chose to convert or not. And likewise, her lack of commitment to Islam wouldn't normally have anything to do with his.
