Wish I could join you in Belmopan. I hope it is a worthy conference and that you get to meet some of the excellent Belizean tour guides mentioned above. Can't wait to hear about it...

How much is a reasonable fee for professional networking and education? It seems to me that US$150 is one of the lower figures for a conference. Does anyone know what similar conferences cost elsewhere? Meanwhile, I would encourage you to show us on your youtube channel responsible tourism in practice.

If this is really a conference on RESPONSIBLE tourism, then it needs to be a responsible conference and make SURE that local tour operators, tour guides, and the less than deluxe resort folks get a chance to participate.
After all, we're the ones who know what goes on here at the ground level.
Or, is this going to be one of those conferences that produces a bunch of paper that people stick in their desks or on a bookshelf and forget about.
US$150 local fee is too much for most Belizeans.
