Well than a short walkthrough for both of you:

when u enter the level: coastal ruins, at first you should obtain the crossbow in the mirror room (with spikes and traps). You can enter in it by shooting the woodeen boards. Than you need to go to that room, where you have to aim for several targets (laser sight is in Jean Yves room on the level: Alexandria, combinate it with the crossbow). If you are sucsessful, you will get a Token.

After you have it, go to that figure with the flote and use your token. Clib up the rope. Get the wooden stick and the hook (use your crowbar which you already have from the level: Desert Railroad right before Alexandria)

COMBINATE THEM.

After go to that little garden, where you see the key. Push action button, and after the cutscene: TADAA! You have the gate key :)

Press escape if you play on PC (on PS or anything else - just go to the menu)

2. Search for your crossbow

3. press choose amo

4 EXPLOSIVE ammo

5 equip

Strange that the small section of Catacombs near the boulder is separate.... the guide even labels the main level "upper" and that bit "lower".... cheers for uploads
