A true racing icon the 787B. Its a shame they forced the use of the 3.5L F1 engines in 1992. Guess they were too scared of Mazda becoming a dominant force. Either that, or the other manufactures wined about how they don't want to spend the hours on working on a car that could out last the R26B engine.

blame it on the FIA and the ACO. after Mazda won LeMans in '91, they effectively banned the rotary engine by mandating a lot of restrictions on it. Mazda chose not to run the 787B in '92 onwards because of that. now the actual chassis is almost worshipped in Japan...
