...abitavo ad Amsterdam all'epoca. Comprai il disco in un negozio, "The Frog" si chiamava, e me andai a casa, sul Neuzeijdvoorburgvaal, ad ascoltarlo con degli amici americani. Dig, che dipingeva quadri stpendi, a un tratto mi guardò e disse "this music is pure art! I'm glad you makes me know them..."! Grandi Tuxedo!!

...perfettamente d'accordo...a quei tempi era l'espressione artistica che contava, che noi "giovincelli" seguivamo...ricordo i concerti dei Tuxedo, con le performance di Winston dietro lenzuoli bianchi a far ombre cinesi, e Peter Principle che usava una luce legata con scotch, che faceva roteare con la forza delle braccia...e allora anche il gioco di luci era "umano"...fantastici,l in ogni concerto (e ne ho visti decine!!).

Oh dear God! This was on "Frank Johnson's favorites"! What an lp that was/is; Tuxedomoon,MX-80 sound,Snakefinger,Art Bears,and other great bands...

It was also released as a single on Ralph Records. Thankfully TM was given free reign when they signed with Ralph. However, that union was short-lived. But Half-Mute and Desire are two of the best albums EVER recorded.

@indigo419 - you are confusing this with, "Frank Picks the Hits", released by the Residents. This song was not on that record. The Tuxedomoon songs on that one were, "Left My Heart in San Francisco" (which consisted mostly of a recorded telephone conversation) and "Waterfront Seat".

@MrPlanx Nope. Blaine went out on the street with a tape recorder, asked a hobo to play "I left my heart in San Fransico". The result is on the record. It ends with the guy asking "Can I hear it back?"
