I have seen some guitarist use a talk box, you actually have to know how to play the instrument...No Garage band will get it.., Roger was the first I saw back in the day to use this with a sythesizer, then Midnight Star used something called a Vocoder, that changed your voice totaly it's old school voice sythesis.. Some rock bands experimented with this sound but it didn't actually go gold until the 80's when technofunk burst onto the scene... RIP ROGER...

Roger also has more brother's than just Larry. Lester who plays the drums and Zapp himself (Terry Troutman) plays the talkbox, keys and bass. Zapp still plays with a full band so I'm not sure what it is your trying to say...

Now days, nobody knows how to play instruments, a computer and a keyboard does all the work for them. I should have been clearer the first time I said that. "They" refers to other acts. Classic Zapp and Roger has been a big influence on me since the early 80`s and I`d never say a bad word about them.

@talkboxier They are both a type of vocoder.. Its like saying a polyphonic and monophonic synth arent the same thing. They are both synths.. just different types.. although, at the same time, they are NOT the same, because Antares AutoTune does not MUX audio signals, just does pitch correction, and a talkbox is more like a speaker that plays in your mouth to modulate the sound coming out, to be picked up by a microphone.. either way, THIS VIDEO ROOOCCCKKSS!!!! :D
