Honestly I do not know much other than it is a ball python. I imagine it's normal with the color on the camera throwing it off. This was my ex girlfriend's snake, she was not even sure it's a female.. lol. She left me though and left the snake behind too. :) Now it's my new buddy!
The snake isn't retarded. Whoever is holding the dead rat near the snake needs to stop flinching, and set the rat down. Ball pythons do not hunt rats in the air. If the rat is not warm, she can't see it as well as she would be able to if it were alive. Ball pythons have rows of heat-sensitive pits along their upper, and part of their lower lips. They use those in conjunction with their sense of smell, and a little bit of vision to hunt.
Eh, I don't really think she is retarded. Thanks for the info though. This snake was basically left at my house one day not long ago for me to keep. I'm thinking about feeding her live and given your comments I'm leaning that way even more now. Peace~

Yeah, I believe you are correct. She nails the live ones, but struggles sometimes hitting the frozen ones. Peace~

Well, in real life is it brownish/tannish color? Or is it silver/grey color? If it's the second choice, then it's probably a lesser.
