I love Timo because he always looks his opponents in the eye and raises his hand for all nets and edges. He also always looks the person in the face during the opening handshake and ending handshake. He is a legend in my book.

In a few years Michael Maze will be up there with the chinese. He already has every shot he just needs to have more consistency and use his forehand more often rather than standing back and lobbing. Ok he is one of thew world's best lobbers but he doesn't always win points when he is lobbing but when he is in a forehand rally with another player he is bound to win. Meanwhilst Timo is already a good player and he just needs a way of beating the chinese.

as other people have stated, the big difference with Maze here is his much improved backhand, he was actually hitting a few winners with it, his forehand was as awesome as always. add this to the fact that boll wasn't quite on form and this is the result. i'm really pleased that maze is back on form and hope that timo regains his form too.

Timo Boll is protecting his knee, he is injured and plays for 80% of his game.

His knee and his back. His backhand goes almost unused and had lots of errors and his forehand lacked punch from the lessened follow through, he's not using his whole body and people are able to counter slam his forehand.
