  • Tennessee says hi!

  • there are very few female artists I would listen to, not a sexist thing, I just think they have no talent and sing about shite, beyonce-lady gaga etc. but norah jones is a brilliant artist/performer!! nice to see this version!

  • 굿!!! Good

  • Espetacular...

  • at 1:25 it just makes me wanna close my eyes and feel the song

  • the dislike bar is like justin beibers dick , small and grows when a fag touched it

  • at 2:50 did yas see that 4 eyed bald nugget orgasming of norahs playing there oxigen theif!!!

  • her eyes, her lips, her face, and her facial expressions :D i love it.. :D

  • Four

  • It's so great to know there are still a few female recording artists out there that remain fully clothed while performing. Love ya' NORAH!!!

  • How can someone (19 people at time of writing) *not* like this...?

  • @aemarques Your guess is as good as mine.

  • I can't get over the guitarist and drummer's facial expressions. Eeeww!

  • Sorry y'all, but as much as I love Norah, Eva Cassidy has far and away the best version of this.

  • wow she ruined that song.

  • I do like Norah Jones - but to me no one sings this song like Patti Page! I do associate certain artists with certain songs...no disrespect intended.

  • What a sweet evening!

  • i come on here to listen to a good song, not hate on justin bieber

okay maybe he's a bad artist but that doesnt mean he should even be on this page, love music and stop hating on irrelevant crap.

  • justin bieber is one man band rip off..minimal whatsover..hes just that dirt stuck on a farmers foot compared to norah.

  • justin bieber would rape her

  • Love Norah Jones --- absolutely -- but in terms of classics, the original Patti Page video has nearly five times as many plays.

  • One of the most beautiful interpretations.

So different from my beloved Holly Cole version (also on youtube).

Hard to say which is best.

  • SHUT UP SNARE.

  • at guitgeo: U really shouldn't say she sucks because

That's a lie, her voice is sooo peaceful and beautiful, I've always been jealous of her

Voice. I love Norah jones and I have to

Disagree with all the tone deaf people out

    There…:)

  • Drummer too loud! Yikes! Sh7t the $#@* up! Leave it for your basement platehead, this is Nora you're playing with.

  • she is awsome, anyone who thinks otherwise is tone deaf and has not taste! some people are just born with talent and she is definately one of them!!

  • she is awsome, anyone who thinks otherwise is tone deaf and has not taste!

  • shes so amazing in every way. What a pleasant person

  • I DO love you, Norah!

  • Awful !! You're a nice looking gal but you suck as a singer. Mediocre at best. Listen to yourself with eyes closed. You're trying to be something you're not. You sing off key -way off. Piano chops are great but you must practice with a vocal coach 'cause obviously you don't hear yourself. Good luck....

    George

  • How is the name of the guitarist? PLEASE!!!, IS THE SAME GUY WHO PLAY THIS SONG IN THE CD "HOUSE OF BLUES"?

  • @gsgalli yes. and i believe the guitarist is adam levy :)

  • @Vape4life THANKS!!!!!!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  • look at her expression 2:28.. she s dahhhlin!!

  • wow!!!

  • Norah, you are the real interpreter of this fantastic song! I like it. Superb!

  • I was bluesing away on this tune

    An my guitar string popped!!!

Nora brought the best outta me

  • the drums are playing a led zepplin song

  • Sooooo Nice...

  • beautiful face, beautiful voice.. hmmmn..

  • Norah has all the talent in the world! Her psyical beauty is only matched by her ability. but man man, she is pretty!

  • Norah Jones - Absolutely great. That's music ;-)

  • Having listened to one of their albums, I find the band lacks the emotional commitment Norah has. At times a juvenile disregard for her sublime renditions. She ought to have Steve Gadd or Vinnie Colaiuta on drums and a guitarist with heart to stretch the harmonic color somewhat.

But perhaps she is comfortable with these guys.

  • Dude on drums.. wtf.

  • Elvis!!

  • All our lives - its all about emotions. Love and live your life.

  • tennessee walttz become her color.

  • So sweet: I like this!

  • So sweet: Ilike this!

  • ...and I knew just how much, I had lost

Story of my life, such a depressing yet amazing song ): (:

  • I vote put Slash on the guitar and the guy from def lepperd on the drums. That would be awesome!!

  • sorry to say this but i don't know why she can't get any better people to play with her, every time her band over does it and tries to stand out. they ruin her songs

  • I just Love you Nora XXX

  • It's amazing how she can bleach all the emotion out of what was once a very sentimental song. Let's hear it for technical proficiency!

  • I'm in love.

  • +*+ wow she is good........looking +*+

  • Oh dear!

  • Wow. It's sooooo .....jazz. She knows how to tweek this old tune without destroying it. Bravo to you, Norah... Great artist, such as you should be preserved.

  • She is no Eva cassidy for sure..

  • And I knew just how much I had lost/I have lost my little darlin'/The night they were playing/The beautiful beautiful Tennessee Waltz! This song is just perfect for me right now! Witness me singing the blues!hahaha!

  • @paigeunleashed And the same way for me! I lost someone too!

  • いい

  • Weak voice for this song

  • Superbe voix quelle bonheur d'écouté du cristral, merci Norah Jones

  • Eine seltsamm hübsche und talentierte Frau! Ihr Musik ist umwerfend.

  • Why shouldn't she have an American accent? After all she is an American. She was born 1979 in New York U.S.A. That makes her an American.

  • While her father is Indian, her mother is English-American. She was born in New York City and raised in Grapevine, Texas. Her accent isn't "put on" -- it's who she is...

  • @wobblydangly She's probably never even been to India you cunt

  • Like it-though perhaps not quite as hypnotic as her version of "Cold cold heart". Good ol' Len Cohen does a neat version of this song too..

  • AWESOME!!!SIMPLY AWESOME!!!

  • whoaaaa!!!, go Nora!! love it.

  • 2:31 lol xp

  • What a singer, an old standard played like never before, Brilliant

  • wow, wonderful played. great song!

  • una voz preciosa y única

  • очень хороший стиль. даже публики шум. не помешал.

    ..очень)

  • really love this

  • Great

  • Snare may be a little loud at beginning, but drummer does a great job during vocal and carrying rhythm during instrumentals. I think he does a nice job of carrying rhythm and jazzing up his intros. Great job at end. During the solos and at end he shows he can be subtle while stll driving the beat. With Norah's terrific voice and piano, why worry about anything else.

  • WOW!!!

  • Wonderful rendition of a great song -

    beautiful voice - perfect !!!

  • haha...mic for snare drum is too loud?

we should blame da soundman :p..the drummer so good! I like his feel!

and of coz norah jones too!!

  • She's got the sexiest voice I've ever heard! Damn! I can't stand it!

  • who dislike this is justin bieber fun

  • the mic on the snare is way too loud...look at her reaction on the first beat..priceless

  • Exact'mo! Nobody should complain. So, so PERFECT!!!!!!!!

  • that drummer is balls

  • You Are Kool Kido !!!! Thanks to Daddy Mr Ravi Shanker send him my regards. God Bless

  • I would love to hear a duet by Norah Jones and Jackson Browne

  • This is just a beautiful song and it belongs to the ages. Many singers have done it beautifully. Patti Page, Patsy Cline, Elvis, Eva Cassidy, Anne Murray, and here Norah Jones, to mention a few. They are some fast jazzed up versions I do not like, but to each its own.

  • its patti pages song...

  • my favourite version!

(and she looks so sweet ^^ 'Dream Woman')

  • shot the drumer! jajaa

  • the drums is loud!!

    too hardcore! LOL

i love NORAH and this song. =)

  • Thank you for letting me upload my arrangement.

    N8

ps. it's inspired from seeing Nora live with Charlie Hunter so many times

  • Nora you are the best of oll

  • Wow! Well, after reviewing Eva's, Patti's and this videos. Thanks again to youtube we can see all three in a row without listening to someone elses opinion and some %^^%ing Insurance companies commercial!!!! I prefer Pattis version, but would enjoy Eva's 10 times more if it didn't have so much reverb in it. But there is just something about the smokiness of Norah's voice that you just can't help but get lost in the music and the moment. Oh yea, and great band as well.

  • I too like Eva's rendition better though I am a huge Norah Jones fan.

Since this is a life long favorite of mine I find it always great to hear a new generation of artists singing their version. of it. Its hard to believe "Tennessee Waltz" is over 70 years old.

I remember my father playing his Patti page (circa early 50s) recordings and this was his favorite song by her. I hear this song and I think of my Dad:)

  • Tbh, I Prefer Eva Cassidy's Version.

It Focused More On The Singing That

The Over Drawn Instumentals. I'm not

Saying This Version Is Bad. Norah Has The

Most Amazing Voice. Just Eva Adds More

    Depth To The Song.

  • well put brotha

  • this is my favorite version of the song of all time.... perhaps its because norah sings it....hehehehehehhehe

  • she has an amazing voice but i dont like this version to slow for my likeing

  • She does have a great voice but I'm afraid that she murders this lovely song. She just doesn't get the feeling for it. Still a good singer but needs a better choice of song for her style. This is, of course, only MY opinion.

  • We love you Norah!

  • I like Eva Cassidy's version, she' voice is better than Norah's, but this is nice too...

  • I just love her...............she is sooo beautiful and talented. Thank you for your music, Nora............. Beautiful version of an old classic.

  • Just plain beautiful! Love You So Much! You know Who You Are! Love You Baby....

  • good grief, she's pretty

  • To be honest I hate this version, but the voice is amazing!!!

  • I wonder if there is enough time for her and I to fall in love.

  • i've decided to make norah jones my wife...

  • the drums sounds good in here, I think Beowolf is tone deaf

  • You guys pay way too much attention to details. Music is about feeling good, not worrying about what crap happened. It's what they felt in their hearts when they played.

  • I love Norah Jones and she does a great job on this. However, that drummer and his stupid snare completely ruin the performance. I think he would have been better using brushes(or just staying quiet) It would have been one of the best versions if not for him

  • i'd say that the sound engineer did a poor equalization job.

  • The worst guitar player in Tube, ever.

  • you...kiddin' right?i think he is a very good soul player and has a style of his own!(maybe the expression is not the smartest..i admit it eheh!)

  • obviously you dont know much about guitar, go listen to some more of your van halen albums

  • Comment removed

  • Yes but he is playing with Norah and you?

  • Comment removed

  • Ugh you have no idea what's going on here. Adam had just started playing with Norah again after 3 years and this was the first time she was going on a serious tour. You can't expect their synchronization to be perfect. Look at how amazing they worked together during last year's shows.

I suppose you'll be happy to hear that he's no longer Norah's guitarist, he wants to focus on his solo career. Personally, I'll miss him, he was amazing.

  • nice version but patti page is remarkably good cause she belonged to that time....

  • I love NOrah JOnes, but this version is really boring to me.

  • I have the dvd of this whole performance, it's really cool!! you should check it out. I like this version, her band her so good!!

  • Where is the criticism of the drummer coming from? I don't see or hear anything wrong. But this version is very nice. Don't know why but it seems better than the one with Nora Jones and Bonnie Raitt.

  • It would be nice if the drums wouldnt be so pronounced is this song, it is too harsh for my taste. He'd should have used a brush instead of a stick.

    My 2 cents....

  • It's actually the soundman's fault.

  • @00Beowulf00

I agree, the drums seem to be totatlly out of context.

  • @00Beowulf00 the snare atack it's quite cool, unfortunelly the volume is mixed up unproperly.

  • @00Beowulf00

I agree with you , there´s something wrong with the drums in this song, i don´t know if it´s just the high volume of them or as you suggest that he should have used a brush instead of stick.

Being said this i think that they made a great job with this song.

  • some would say no he should not have but I can hear your arguement

  • @00Beowulf00 You're right, the drummer is lost as a goose......

  • @00Beowulf00 : Where's RINGO and his tasteful playing to the SONG when we need him ?!? PEACE & LOVE !

  • Alma Cogan has the best version because she does it upbeat whereas most all others do a slower tempo. She died young at 34 y.o., but not before nailing this song in 1964.

  • way better than patti page....

  • I'll admit, he's a shitty drummer in alot of ways, but him and bassist are in sync which tells me they rehearsed it to sound that way.,,as for her facial expressions, that's a nervous tic she has. They are too good of musicians to put up with a drummer they don't like. At some point he auditioned and passed. It sounds like he is bored from playing the same thing night after night after night. Experienced giggers know how songs tend to morph over time....

  • It sounds as if he had a fight with his girlfriend before he went on stage.

  • True. We don't know what the hell is going on behind the scenes....They ALL might be there against their will -who knowS? Maybe this is a make up gig and thay are pissed off for some reason and don't even want to be there.

  • ...What voice!

I love also the original version, but I love Norah Jones and his wonderful interpretation.

I like more and more this county-jazz stile...

    do you?

  • You DO realize Nora Jones is a "HER and NOT a "HIS" as you say, don't you?

  • yep, her wonderful interpretation... You have perfectly right missystu... my english it is not native language, and my laptop help me to write...hehehe

  • I cried.

  • smooth - love her!!!

  • stinks it's country not soul doofus!!!!!! u ruined it its in no way jazzy!

  • You're an idiot!

  • that girl sure has got some soul!!

  • couldn't say it any better .... (Y)

  • I love you Norah

  • She has royally messed up the original song. The one sung by Patty is so beautiful.

  • u r crazy...this is so smoothe and cool.

  • Does anyone know where I can find this version to download? Or am I just missing it entirely?

  • A beautiful rendition, from a very soulful young lady. God bless the Gal! The boys behind her aint too shabby either:)

    danny brooks

  • she is amazing shame the drummer pissed all over it you can she the tension as they battle for the lime light its a shame.

  • You're right.

She winces (and so do I) every time he bangs out

    that inappropriate noise.

    Her rendition is lovely, though.

I hope she sent the drummer packing.

  • he was dropped on the next album lol

some jazz drummers seem to always want the limlight at the expence of the music

    Nora is top x

    at the music expenc

  • check out the version dax riggs did.

  • A great vocal rendition of this old classic but Eva Cassidy's version is by far the best one.

  • You should give a listen to the version by Patti Page from 1950

  • heard she is really nice. and what a voice to boot !

  • looks like shes about to sneeze or just smelled a fart at 2:32 great video other than that haha, awesome guitar tone too

  • HaHaHa LOL

    It totally looks like that!

  • I didn't realize she was so good looking and had such a nice body and a musical talent as I'd only heard her singing on the radio before this. How hot is she Wow!

  • thank you for posting this brilliant bit.

    what a fantastic version.

  • Saw her do this with Charlie Hunter before she got famous, absolutely stunning, I bought her demo , i never do that. They made it a little dirtier and funkier, like if Stevie Wonder had written it.

  • As a country music fan, saw this video and liked Norah's arrangement of this great old tune

  • Thanks for posting this great video. Norah's a stunning beauty!!! Is her boyfriend the bass player?

  • yes name is Lee.

  • In her voice ... there's that sincerity and truth with feelings! So nice and thank you.
