  • It's amazing how much like Miles Davis he is :-) If he finds someone like Gil Evans (magical arranger for Miles Davis ) or Clare Fischer (magical arranger for Prince), you're reeeeeeally going to hear some jaw-dropping shit! lol!

  • ugh!, LOVE

  • seriously dude you made my day today! voodoo is an incredible album - so dope i broke my first CD from overplay and had to buy another one. and now you say there are outtakes. that's love right there. thank you for that link!

  • @Paintavulgarpolaroid Say what u want i think he copied Gangstarr and i disliked the vid

  • Mike is a monster! He killing those chords!!!! The tension in them! He cool is shit too! We blazed before!

  • I would love to be in a jam session with D'Angelo if this is what he does. Having fun & covering some Hip-Hop classics? Any idea if ?uestlove was on the drums in this??

  • @dpistons149 he did not copy them. This track comes from the Voodoo outtakes and extras. This is a COVER of Gangstarr's song. If you know anything about bands, you would know that other folks' songs are often played during jam sessions...a little bit of freaking/tweakingof the original song might go on depending on the style of the musicians...but it's NOT COPYING.

  • @magillazmygorilla U have ur opinion ,i have mine and still think this bum copied The great Gangstarr

  • @dpistons149 stfu with that bs

  • @malikkuwait89 nah you stfu, you know im right

  • @dpistons149 he didn't copy anything he sampled it you dick head just like hip hop used to sample shit back in the days

  • @malikkuwait89 bullshit!he copied Gangstarr

  • Man, he could have made an album off of these outtakes. I know that people would have been excited to by them, I know I would have. All he had to do was touch them up, put them on a record, and then push it out there for the fans to eat up. Probably would've sold like mad! But, oh well...

  • Sound like GangStarr to me...

  • Thank all of you for posting these "Music Room" undergrounds. I have alot of these, but never thought other people would get a chance to enjoy them like I have. Once again thanks!

  • @Rozyonnie Gotta love the talent in VA. Two up Two Down.

  • ORIGINALLY FROM EDDIE HENDERSON!!!!!

  • dis IS goooood

  • This shit doesnt make sense. He stole like 3 lines from Gangstarr and doesn't say anything else.. Waist of a good beat.

    watch?v=gHL708LORIw

for the real deal, plus lyrics. in HQ.

  • @Guzzy91 how is it a waste? have you ever heard of an instrumental before? not only that he is actually playing an instrument which doesnt really require much singing or talking. just saying

  • @mjjcng8958 ofcourse, the beat is sick, but why take 3 lines from guru and call it soliluquoy of chaos?

at least rename it or somethin'

he's even laughing after the first line, like he's making fun of guru's lyrics

what the fuck are people supposed to think?

  • @niafunk

Taken from Gangstarr - Daily Operation - 1992

  • Well, I appreciate you adding them all...

  • Dude, where are you getting these tracks from, totally killer. Its tortutre waiting for James River. This got Groove!

  • You know D knows his hip-hop when he's doing this sort of classic Gang Starr material just in his jam sessions.

He even spits the lyrics on his version of Ex Girl To Next Girl.

  • Damn!

  • where is D'angelo? we miss u and ur music!

  • OOOOWW thats whats up!! This is one of my all time favortit GangStarr jawns too!!

  • RICHMOND, MOTHAFUCKIN, VIRGINIA.

  • @juniorwong86 HA!

  • @juniorwong86

    .....yup, exactly.

  • sounds like tape!! d'angelo, dilla (rip), quest, badu, pino, u guys r way 2 sick!

  • l.o.v.e.

  • of course its D on keys he is amazing it´s the d'angelo sound and noboy can doubt it f'ckin awesome

  • Soliloquy of Chaos is originally from the Gangstarr LP "Daily Operation". DJ Premier was on production G.U.R.U. provided the vocals.

  • Oh! let's not forget the originator of this beat: Ahmad Jamal...ha, I did learn this from Gangstarr tho...good ishh all around the board..

  • No, the originator of the beat was foster sylvers (the song Misdemeanor) Ahmad Jamal covered teh song several years later.

  • Nah, what I meant was where Primo sampled the [beat] from, not the original record/song..thanks anyways tho - I'm hip to the Sylers.. *watch the words ..1

  • @gallantfellow oh whoops yeah

  • It's called "Misdemeanor"

  • Cool combo - D'Angelo and Gangstarr

  • OMG soulful,is that JAmes Poyser on the keys? i need the outtakes, anything i can get from D or Lauryn

  • Actually I think that's D on keys

  • while his band was voodoo, i read somewhere that before they started the album they would just figure out and play through entire albums by other people ranging from prince to marvin gaye and here, gangstarr. they did this for fun and for inspiration all of it is dope

  • At 1:11 D'Angelo or someone else starts spitting the lyrics to Gangstarrs "Chaos" joint. You have to listen very carefully for it though because its low.

  • i checked out where all these dope songs are from that i've never heard, and they were out takes of his amazing voodoo album. thank god we get to hear them now- fucking amazing. and when is james river ever gonna come out? come on D!!!!!

  • Thats one thing i love about Guru...its those titles that he makes for his songs..they're always so unique...for instance "Soliloquy of chaos" like what does that mean?

  • OMG I LOVE HIS NEW SOUND

  • most of the D tracks i've put up were never officially released...just unreleased tracks floatin around the net
