That's one of the few things I can honestly say I learned from Sesame Street as a kid. This sketch was the first thing that gave me any awareness of "SssssOUTH Am-er-i-ca!"

I have a theory that Grover just plays dumb all the time as his way of getting revenge on Mr. Johnson for his being such a finicky, difficult customer the first bunch of times they met. (It would explain why the two essentially switched roles over time!)

This is fat blue's own fault. It's a simple matter of economics. That ticket probably cost over $1000, and his egg sandwich costs about $1. He needs to prioritize, and skip the sandwich.

Comparing the 2 sketches, I'd say Kermit was lucky as he could deliver his packages the next day, as Fat Blue on the other hand would have to purchace another ticket to South America and those things are expensive these days.
