to this day it remains my favorite car chase .Great place(san franscisco hills are the best place for car chase ) Great drama (duel between connery and cage and you have no idea who's going to win) Great music (the chase is a hans zimmer best ) great editing (I love how the ferrari appears in the background and connery has a WTF look at 2:00) , great lines . BB2 may be better technically but it pales to the Rock chase dramatically speaking .

This is Michael Bay's best film of his career in my opinion. Even this movie has amazing action scenes like this car chases, He focuses on the plot more than his other movies. I love Bad Boys, Armageddon and Transformers film series but this his best out of all of them.

This chase was pretty much ruined because of how bad the cinematography and editing are. It never focuses on any specific part of the chase for more than 2 seconds, and it places cameras way too close to the vehicles to show anything else in frame. I never seem to know what's happening, and the shaky cam in the cars is just frustrating to watch. It could've been a great movie chase, but it had too much flare to show the real action.
