Expressions of love aren't made because they're necessary - please recall this the next time you hug or kiss a loved one. They're made because you love someone.

What then of the Beloved Prophet, who is more deserving of our love then any of our loved ones?

LOOK UP SAHIH BUKHARI, KITAB UL MANAQIB...HOLY PROPHET SAYS TO HASSAN BIN THABIT, THE POET OF THE PROPHET! WHEN YOU SING ABOUT ME, THE ANGEL JIBRA'EEL STANDS BEHIND YOU! THE PROPHET HIMSELF WOULD ASK THE COMPANIONS, TO RECITE THEIR PRAISES TO HIM. THERE WERE A TOTAL OF 35 NAAT KHAWANS, PRAISERS OF THE PROPHET AMONGST THE SAHABA.

Don't forget what the people of Madinah Munnawarah sang when our Beloved Rasool Salallahu Alaiyhi Wasallam entered the city after making Hijra.

@BelligerentPacifist Bismillah, enough wif all this fuss abt singg praises 4 Rasulullah. Why not do somethg that is more worthwhile like put his sunnah into practise & istiqamah on it, I truly believe he will be more please. I love Prophet Muhammad as much as u people out there BUT how many of us truly follow his Sunnah. Look at us, we are debatg, discussg on singg, qasidah & mawlid for Rasulullah, how lame is that. Revive the Sunnah of Rasulullah. Bring forward auth.hadith on qasidah/mawlid.

@smilecheeseklik You canot disallow 'singing praises of him' when Rasuulullaah SAW himself permit his SaHaabah to. However, your argument that we should be doing more than saying more is very sound because His SAW Sahaabah did more than sing his praise. Much more.
