@alienwareify I think viola's are a little bigger and lower pitched, used more for support and less for soloing. Although i think i prefer the tone of a viola better. Less nails on the chalkboard like. Not as screechy. Ok my sister plays violin and it fucking drives me crazy.

one question - can you play it like a normal string instrument? (my inner cellist cringed to the soul with all the banging and drumming, lol) i'm assuming the double bass can be played, maybe the cello, and definitely not the violin/viola strings. what then is the point of the violin and viola sticking up there?
kudos on the most intriguing instrument i have ever seen.
Wow. I just discovered you today and I cannot stop watching everything you have made thus far. You truly deserve every bit of congratulations and recognition. Absolutely amazing, and amazingly beautiful. Just, wow.
AMAZING music. your experibass is simply genius. I love Hans, I love what you did.... thank you sooo much for the music, everyone who is part of this soundtrack: you're AMAZING!!!!!
hm, as a luthier, I'd be interested to hear more about this. Have you considered extra sound holes on the flanks for the extra necks? Shallower string grooves? Perhaps an ebony or other dense wood insert on the edge you drum on would a) keep it from eroding as it seems to have, and b) retain a nice sharp sound. The soft spruce all exposed there probably is fairly dampened when struck, or is that the idea...?
Congratulations on Working with a legend! I'm sure you were so excited! You will go very far my friend and I think this is your break into the biz! :)

@alienwareify A viola has the same strings as a cello: C G D A - just on a different octave. The violin has strings a 5th up: G D A E. I play cello.

You are a lucky, lucky man for getting the chance to work with the greatest composer to ever live since Beethoven.

I thought I heard something like this in Sherlock Homes! That's so great that you got to work on something that major!

It's a honor to see an "almost neighbor" work together with a true legend like Hanz Zimmer.
Italy, despite being stuck in a cultural mid-age, is still producing some great talents.
