for me she's better than caballe and scotto & co! such a young voice (think about elisabettas age in the history...) such a lovely and easy high such a gorgeous voice filled with warmth and possibilties... amazing! thx for posting! would be great to hear her "tu che le vanita"...
I bought this DVD ages ago, and I haven't watched it in years. I think I discounted it because I was shocked that they cast a "no-name" soprano as Elisabetta. However, watching this now, I am blown away by the quality of the voice.
Ho un ricordo bellissimo di Fiamma Izzo D'Amico(ed un suo bellissimo autografo) in Bohème al Teatro Margherita di Genova (1986), con Luciano Pavarotti.
Beautiful voice. I remember her at the Met singing Mimi in Boheme. Whatever happened to her?. A short time after her big career singing everywhere never heard from her anymore. A pity!
She stopped for her 2 daughters! She has a beautiful voice now!Now she is a famous italian director of dubber...I know it because is the wife of my father
Fiamma was born in 1964 wasn't she? So here (86) she is only 22 years, right? Now I've became unsure! See the comment of Elisabetta611, pls. I'm really unsure, THx!

I sang in the choir in a production of I Pagliacci when this great singer sang Nedda :
What a voice: powerful, crystalclear and full of emotion!!!
I believe she was discovered by Von Karajan.
Does anyone know if she still sings?
