While it is neat, it is painfully obvious the owl is captive and with its leg straps it is returning to its owner, the cameraman, each time. So these are pets playing. Nevertheless, I'd like to see this in 2 years and it will play very differently, I'm sure. Still, it's interesting.

I was wondering about it, too, but after all the owl could easily fly away, hide or even punish the cat. It looks rather like a relationship of two animals where one is more playful and somewhat annoying but the other tolerates it. (Young and older animals often behaves like that, or dogs and cats for example) About safety, I'm not sure but it striked me that the cat seems to be very gentle. To me it looks like the two animals compete friendly.

Nowhere did I suggest which animal was superior in the event of a fight! Animals are animals, and in that regard, you cannot guarantee neither will become aggressive.
