Thank you Tom for the vindication. The question is what does this say about the intent of the Vatican from its inception? Its deliberate manipulation of truth cannot be looked at any other way than than a grasp for power and control and to use the masses as chattle. The end result of the Christ myth has been The Church leaving a guilt trip on everyone for Christs sacrifice. This way They controlled your very soul, it was their way or damnation. There is nothing Holy to the history of The Church.

When everyone recognizes the truth in what is being said in this video, we might actually have a chance for peace on earth. The Vatican owes the world a HUGE apology and a lot of facts. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, I have my inner peace. Fundamental/literal religion is pure BS, only the most ptiful of people would believe it to be an historical event, and thus miss the entire meaning of the myth.

@beatlesnumber9 Except nothing in this article is truth, its the Zeitgeist movement which is specifically directed at the vatican, governments, etc .... to bring the world together as a one world order (i.e. control). I am not a Christian, but I am very happy the catholic church exists as a political institution, it is what is preventing the George Soros's of the world from taking it over. Zeitgeist's can ,manipulate stocks, currency, commodities, etc .... but the church has real wealth.

@beatlesnumber9 I cant argue with you in reference to generic not mentioned Pagan God's, but their are no similarities between the history of Horus in Egyptian mythology and Jesus. I've been lucky to spend a fair amount of time in Cairo (Pyramids, Egyptian Museum of History, etc ....), and Horus is a large part of Egyptian mythology. He had 4 demi Gods that served him, his father was Osirus and his Mother Isis. Could go on ... .

@LeRationnel27 I am stunned at his conclusion. His studies are nothing new. Paul was a convert from Pagan religions. Many people have discussed this before, Thomas Jefferson even called Paul a false prophet. Thomas Jefferson studied same things as this guy and concluded Paul was a false prophet. Others have studied same and converted to islam. This guy studies it and determines Jesus even as a teacher didnt exist .... sound research, but unsound conclusion.

@LeRationnel27 I follow the logic in that article until it jumps to the new testament. It just says possible rediscovery. The big problem with Tom Harpur is similar in the sense that he jumps to his conclusion Jesus does not exist with vauge information. He states there are only 3 non christian Historians in the first century that reference Jesus (a poor carpenters son from a small village). As many critics responded "Their is not much burden of proof required to prove ones existence".

@LeRationnel27 In all honesty I only skimmed the second article, but what is the big conspiracy? There is archaeological evidence of a flood in Mesopotamia around 4,500 BC that wiped out all life in that region, and several ancient writings repeat the same theme - the story of a man, a large boat, and his family. Same story is also mentioned in the Epic of Gilgamesh (ancient hindu story). The only thing I ascertain from this is, there was a flood in 4,500 BC, someone did build a large boat.

@LeRationnel27 It's Genesis, which was basically where the Jews sat down around 1,300 BC and wrote the history of the world as they knew it between 4,500 BC to 1,300 BC. That means they could have taken from any number of writings, histories, etc .... . Oddly when people try to argue with the Bible the focus is always on Genesis (which is the first 40 pages of a 1000+ page book thats only intention is to record history as they knew it from 4,500 BC to 1,300 BC). There is nothing to argue with.

@LeRationnel27 That is what all history is (what was passed on and people wrote down). Tons of idiots argue man has never walked on the moon. Technically I cant prove it, I wasn't even alive at that time. However the evidence to back it up is pretty solid. Similarly the evidence to back up that a religious teacher named Yahushua (Jesus) was at least alive and crucified is pretty solid.

This is really sad! The history is there for people to get more close to Jesus and not to denied Him or his existence on earth! This is a dangerous conclusion, not just for him, but for all those who will belive on this. Sorry but I belive in JESUS CHRIST (not in religion) and His life on this world. Of course, you should recognize that I have only posted the word "bible" as a direct quote of you, otherwise, I haven't made one reference to the Bible. An interesting book to read for its significance in western history and its mythological narrative, but certainly not the inspiration you suggest. In fact, I use my knowledge of Hebrew and Christian scriptures to refute "true believers".
