Okposo was knocked off balance pre-hit and stumbled head first. It's not like Phaneuf went out of his way to hit him in the head. Phaneuf was already skating towards him so there was momentum already in place. He couldn't stop instantly if he wanted to.
What happened was obviously just an unfortunate overly-rough hit. No one's fault; just physics at play.
oddly, it was the Flames doing the dirty hits here, instead of the Isles. Wierd. Either way, it wasn't a clean hit when you leave the ice to lay it. Dirty. Very, very dirty. The refs got it so wrong. I hate the Isles, but it should've been a game misconduct and suspension to Phanuef in addition.

Players are paid to win, and get up when they fall (or dive like soccer players).

@m420carbine4 There is no replay on injuries until penalties are assesed because it's illegal for a ref to watch it in slow-mo on the jumbotron to make a call. He must make the call before the replay can show.

calgary has always been a crappy team, during practice the drills consists of hitting each other on the head with a stick...never mind skating, pucking handling etc. how many rings do they have? i mean stanley cup rings, not the rings from being hit on the head! GO OILERS!!!!
