I feel sorry for the editors making the trailer for this film. As they attempt to make it epic with that music but it doesn't work when all thats going on is a wedding scene! Sure if it was Lord of the Rings but this is the abomination known as Twilight!!!

@DemonicRemption Im not against people who dont like this film, i have to admit that on one of the films nothing much really goes on and reading the book, well seeing as it is based on the book means they cant exactly completely change the story line too much. They worked pretty hard on this film, building all the sets and stuff. I just get annoyed when people critisize it so much..
@gwendogxx You'll have to get used to that, because as a visual medium there has to be more to a film than good sets and special effects in the case of one of my guilty pleasures the Michael Bay Transformers films. There has to be things happening on screen that engage the audience, and given the source material for this film, try as they might the directors can't save it because they want to be true to the books.
@gwendogxx Which brings me to an aspect that annoys me about reviewers of the Twilight films. They give the impression that they expect the acting to be good given that Edward and Bella are one-dimensional. Again the directors are working with a book that equates to a novel rough draft, and they want to be true to the source material, because that'll bring in a greater degree of cash. imo I think the aspect of acting should be neglected in reviewing these films.
@gwendogxx I'm assuming you find it good, because they accurately portray the characters in the book, which was the point, hence why the criticism towards it irritates me. As for my acting capabilities look through my playlist of my auditions on my channel for my display of acting...
the movie was split into two for the simple reason being it was too long and it created tension in it so leave it so people like it some people dont its ur option so stop bad mouthing its none of the actors fault its stephanie mayers book her film its their job.

You're a guy. Most guys don't like these sort of movies anyway. Only a handful will watch it. It is mainly a chick flick in my opinion. So you are bound to find alot wrong with it. But your rubbish of it being filler, is totally off mark. Personally, I think these movies are great, and I for one can't wait to watch part 2. My only argument with the whole thing, is having to wait so long to see it. That is the only rubbish part.

I'm proud to say that when I went to the premiere of the last Harry Potter movie that I, along with the rest of the audience gave a standing ovation for it. It was an amazing movie and so worth the wait and many years in between.
While I am not a fan of Twilight by any stretch of the imagination, it makes its money. I give it that.It knows what it's audience wants and delivers. Hopefully the end will be spectacular for them and worth the wait. I can't wait for this all to die down.

@sam421226 This movie is 1hr:50mins long and it was an 1hr:15mins til ANYTHING happens. Harry Potter DH part 1 was 2hr 26mins long and conflict started in the first 15mins. Plus the storyline in BD part 1 (Wedding, Honeymoon and Pregnancy) could've been finished in 30mins.

In my honest opinion, I kinda liked the movie. Honestly, It was worth my time seeing. I enjoyed it. It was well done yet sometimes I got confused as of what is happening but I have read the books so I caught on quickly. It was my moneys worth, and I got it. I will be seeing the next part for sure. The only thing that irritated me was the music at the ending credits. That.. just no. But all in all, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was an amazing movie! I'm glad I got the chance to see it.
Why is everyone so mad at Trilbee? He's a critic. He CRITIQUES things. Which is just what he's doing. Give the man a break and let him do what he likes. I thought it was a good review, and paid attention to all the parts that make up movies. No need to get on his case because he didn't like something you like.

If it's bad, i'll also say. Also, I already do this for a living and in response to your first comment, I have read the first three books. The films are worse but the books are still pretty damn awful.

Critics do not exist for the purpose of complementing other people's work, they do what they do in order to express their opinions about a film/book, whether it be good or bad. In this case, the critic didn't like B.D. and is fully entitled to his opinion! Trilbee, I saw the first 3 last year...it was approximately 8 hours of my life that were among my worst and if in the afterlife, I see a something like "My Highlights!" where God shows me my best and worst, those movies will be among them! My sister's trying to reassure me that I would like the final one due to the "Vamp/Wolf" fight, but I really don't trust her. Seriously I would rather have Adamantium bonded to my bones and jump off the Burj Khalifa and survive...than watch this obscene trash!

This review is exactly how I felt about the whole Twilight series. I understand it being a guilty pleasure because there have been poorly made films that I love to watch but the fact that the series and its actors have become huge stars, obtaining stars on the walk of fame, is a bit sickening. I appreciate movies for their art but the Twilight series is anything but art. No offense to the fans.

The book is being stretched to within an inch of its life in order to justify making two movies so the studios can make twice the money. My theater didn't clap much to Deathly Hallows Part 2 the first time I saw it, but they cheered and applauded loudly to Breaking Dawn Part 1. Like you, I was dumbfounded. They also clapped for Battle LA and Transformers 3 but not Rise of the Planet of the Apes, not Super 8, not Tintin, not Kung Fu Panda 2, not 50/50 nor other great movies last year. (except Lion King 3D)
Seriously breaking Dawn is the best film I've ever watched, it was a beautiful leaving me in the edge of my seat. And the transformation of bells turning into a vampire is incredible! Yes the other films may be pretty boring- but breaking Dawn could never be classed as 'boring' in my opinion.

Hi Mr Tardis I agree with you completely about the movies, however I must disagree to some degree about the books. Things never explained in the movies are explained in the books. So actually make sense if you read the books. Also the rating does bring the movie down a great deal, if this was R and 1 movie this could have been a great movie. A lot of content gets lost in the movies, as in the books much is explained via the thoughts of the characters. But on the whole yes,very bad movie series.
If it makes you feel any better, when I went to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Midnight Premiere, at the end people cheered and clapped. Actually someone clapped early at the 19 years later part.

1) You are completley right; I hate the twilight saga. Both the books and the movies.
2) The only time I cheered during the movie was when Bella's Dad come on-screen. Everyone Laughed at me.
3) Me and my friend gasped in horror at the baby's animated face. But I swear somebody behind me said 'She's Beautiful!'
Also a Noteable fact: While Bella is laying half dead after delivering her baby, Edward and Jacob are too interested in the demon child to care about the fact that she's almost comatose.

@gwendogxx You'll have to get used to that, because as a visual medium there has to be more to a film than good sets and special effects in the case of one of my guilty pleasures the Michael Bay Transformers films. There has to be things happening on screen that engage the audience, and given the source material for this film, try as they might the directors can't save it because they want to be true to the books.

They give the impression that they expect the acting to be good given that Edward and Bella are one-dimensional. Again the directors are working with a book that equates to a novel rough draft, and they want to be true to the source material, because that'll bring in a greater degree of cash. imo I think the aspect of acting should be neglected in reviewing these films.

You're a guy. Most guys don't like these sort of movies anyway. Only a handful will watch it. It is mainly a chick flick in my opinion. So you are bound to find alot wrong with it. But your rubbish of it being filler, is totally off mark. Personally, I think these movies are great, and I for one can't wait to watch part 2. My only argument with the whole thing, is having to wait so long to see it. That is the only rubbish part.

I'm proud to say that when I went to the premiere of the last Harry Potter movie that I, along with the rest of the audience gave a standing ovation for it. It was an amazing movie and so worth the wait and many years in between.
While I am not a fan of Twilight by any stretch of the imagination, it makes its money. I give it that.It knows what it's audience wants and delivers. Hopefully the end will be spectacular for them and worth the wait. I can't wait for this all to die down.

In my honest opinion, I kinda liked the movie. Honestly, It was worth my time seeing. I enjoyed it. It was well done yet sometimes I got confused as of what is happening but I have read the books so I caught on quickly. It was my moneys worth, and I got it. I will be seeing the next part for sure. The only thing that irritated me was the music at the ending credits. That.. just no. But all in all, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 was an amazing movie! I'm glad I got the chance to see it.

This review is exactly how I felt about the whole Twilight series. I understand it being a guilty pleasure because there have been poorly made films that I love to watch but the fact that the series and its actors have become huge stars, obtaining stars on the walk of fame, is a bit sickening. They also clapped for Battle LA and Transformers 3 but not Rise of the Planet of the Apes, not Super 8, not Tintin, not Kung Fu Panda 2, not 50/50 nor other great movies last year. Seriously breaking Dawn is the best film I've ever watched, it was a beautiful leaving me in the edge of my seat. And the transformation of bells turning into a vampire is incredible! Yes the other films may be pretty boring- but breaking Dawn could never be classed as 'boring' in my opinion.

@theaterfreak210 Indeed Harry Potter got a huge amount of cheering. Hell it was deafening when I was in the theatre and Lord of the Rings also got that same treatment. I dunno what theatre you were in but I'd pick a new theatre. It might help you out.

well look at it this way the audience that i was made to sit with didn't clap at the end in fact i was only one of about ten people left because everyone else had walked out and when it was over everyone booed, so I guess there is a light at the end of the tunnel

I'm sorry but they better be the only reason why they cheered, was that they were actually happy to see the movie was over! But even then I doubt it, this is not softcore porn! Though even that doesn't deserve applause. And by the way the only reason why I don't cheer in movie theaters is because, I get shushed.

The one thing that does piss me off about twilight is its main audiance are horny teenage girls, you would think it was to vampire fans, but its actually an insult.. Bram Stoker would be turning in his grave. The only reason I watched these movies was because I was hopng that they would get better, its safe to say I am very disapointed.

If it makes you feel any better, my particular theatre cheered at the end of Harry Potter 7 Part 2. (Also, the ONLY good thing featured in any of the Twilight movies is, without a doubt, Charlie Swan's mustache.)

Hi Mr Tardis I agree with you completely about the movies, however I must disagree to some degree about the books. Things never explained in the movies are explained in the books. So actually make sense if you read the books. Also the rating does bring the movie down a great deal, if this was R and 1 movie this could have been a great movie. A lot of content gets lost in the movies, as in the books much is explained via the thoughts of the characters. But on the whole yes,very bad movie series.

If it makes you feel any better, when I went to the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Midnight Premiere, at the end people cheered and clapped. Actually someone clapped early at the 19 years later part.

1) You are completley right; I hate the twilight saga. Both the books and the movies.
2) The only time I cheered during the movie was when Bella's Dad come on-screen. Everyone Laughed at me.
3) Me and my friend gasped in horror at the baby's animated face. But I swear somebody behind me said 'She's Beautiful!'
Also a Noteable fact: While Bella is laying half dead after delivering her baby, Edward and Jacob are too interested in the demon child to care about the fact that she's almost comatose.

I totally understand how you feel, though I am a fan of the books. I do understand why you hate this movie, I don't like them either. I think the way they went about it is so wrong it more for the money then making something for the fans.
