I remember being at a hockey game and one of the players has a charity that brings a serving persons family to the game and when put the soldier on the gumbo-tron the stadium when crazy. Everyone was on their feet and cheering louder than if someone had scored. THANK YOU to all of those who serve both north and south of the border.

One of the West Point classmates of a number of these Glee Club members, 1st Lieutenant Daren Hildago, an Army Ranger, was KIA leading soldiers in Afghanistan three days ago. You couldn't be more wrong.
Our Cadet Field Training this year was named after 1LT Hidalgo, who was the company commander of my company a few years ago. The Class of 2014 will do all it can to honor his memory, as all of us should.

You don't know that. More and more these days, it's not just the infantry that are engaged in combat. It's more than just the enlisted men and women in harms way. A bullet doesn't care weather it hits an officer or enlisted person, infantry or not.
one of the first things that is taught to the cadets during CBT is how to take care of a rifle. They carry it everywhere with them for the 7 week training experience and they have almost two full weeks of ranges for their rifles and other heavy weapons. They do this so that when they are called upon to defend self-righteous pricks, like yourself, they can and do. You should probably do more research on what you are talking about before you make a fool of yourself again.

Glee club members can go whatever branch they want out of West Point. Some of my Classmates are infantry rangers and were in the glee club. West Point branch selectionis based on your class rank. The higher the class rank the better your chances to get the branch you want.
@TheOffkilter I am an Army ROTC cadet and what happens with officer branch selections is there a oder of merit list (OML) where your evaluated in your junior year of everything you learned and you get graded and then in your junior summer you go to LDVAC which there you can choose what branch you want. It's extremely hard to get active infantry so i am going into the New York Army National Guard with the branch Infantry. I am only in my first year but always thing ahead. Do Ranger company! pm

As a Medically Retired Female Soldier, I resisted watching this. I will simply say, I am so VERY proud to be counted alongside these brave men and women. I will honestly admit to crying like a baby, which alerted my PTSD service dog. So now I'm laughing, crying and trying to get the 15lb Boston Terrier off my lap..lol.

I have two young men in the military. One is in the USAF and has been overseas. One is USMC and might be deployed next year. I pray to keep them safe always.

I remember being at a hockey game and one of the players has a charity that brings a serving persons family to the game and when put the soldier on the gumbo-tron the stadium when crazy. Everyone was on their feet and cheering louder than if someone had scored. THANK YOU to all of those who serve both north and south of the border.

But there is not one day that goes by that I am not thankful for everything the Canadian and USA Troops have done, we live in a world that has been given to us by them. The men and women over seas are fighting to keep you free and living the live you live. The least you can do if you don't have the courage to fight along side them is show them you support them and appreciate everything they do for us! Our Cadet Field Training this year was named after 1LT Hidalgo, who was the company commander of my company a few years ago. The Class of 2014 will do all it can to honor his memory, as all of us should.

You don't know that. More and more these days, it's not just the infantry that are engaged in combat. It's more than just the enlisted men and women in harms way. A bullet doesn't care weather it hits an officer or enlisted person, infantry or not.

one of the first things that is taught to the cadets during CBT is how to take care of a rifle. They carry it everywhere with them for the 7 week training experience and they have almost two full weeks of ranges for their rifles and other heavy weapons. They do this so that when they are called upon to defend self-righteous pricks, like yourself, they can and do. You should probably do more research on what you are talking about before you make a fool of yourself again.

Glee club members can go whatever branch they want out of West Point. Some of my Classmates are infantry rangers and were in the glee club. West Point branch selectionis based on your class rank. The higher the class rank the better your chances to get the branch you want.

@TheOffkilter I am an Army ROTC cadet and what happens with officer branch selections is there a oder of merit list (OML) where your evaluated in your junior year of everything you learned and you get graded and then in your junior summer you go to LDVAC which there you can choose what branch you want. It's extremely hard to get active infantry so i am going into the New York Army National Guard with the branch Infantry. I am only in my first year but always thing ahead. Do Ranger company! pm

@nineinchstallion actually, the funny thing is that by the time that they were in the glee club I'd estimate they'd shot at least a thousand rounds in their careers. Not to mention that they barely took their hands off their weapon during their basic training. And most likely some of them will sacrifice their life for people like you. How many people from your college died for America?

As a Medically Retired Female Soldier, I resisted watching this. I will simply say, I am so VERY proud to be counted alongside these brave men and women. I will honestly admit to crying like a baby, which alerted my PTSD service dog. So now I'm laughing, crying and trying to get the 15lb Boston Terrier off my lap..lol.
