the thing about most games that involve sniper's, is that everybody pushes for the head shot. the only problem is that the head is a small target. you want to go for a chest shot. chest shots from a sniper mean game over. the round entering your body at such high speeds will leave such a large exit wound that it's game over.

i hate how they use snipers in videogames, snipers are not a one man army, they are used usually for assassination, 1 kill. they can also be used as support for an assault. you do not send a sniper to assault a whole enemy base

They are intensely trained in camoflague, shooting and perception. A team of marksmen are a much more cost-effective force.

Why does it keep saying "sniper stealth" when the game is full of you running about in rambo style firefights with "stealth" being when you are 20 meters away from an enemy about to enter one of those firefights.

Most of the shots you take in the game with the rifle you could do with a pistol.

finally some real sniping mechanism applied in VG. hopefully the stealth really work n not spoil like in Far Cry where your enemies will know your position even though u snipe them at long distance with a silencer and hide in bushes. it's been a while since the last time i see that sniper bullet slow mo view in max payne

If you shooot someone a mile away on a cliff, the nearby enemy will instantly know where you are and start shooting at you. Im sorry its just that stupid. the AI is garbage, im very sorry to tell you. The sniping aspect is the most realistic ive seen in a long time, much better than mw2, but im very sorry to tell you that the artificial intelligence is absolute garbage.
This game looks great. First proper sniping I've seen in a game. Wind, bullet drop, pulse rate, this will be great. So much better than quick/no scoping in CoD, (i doubt REAL snipers do that). This looks like a great game that requires quick thinking and strategy !!
@2810Nath bad company 2 encourages long range shots and hard scoping, and has bullet drop and flight time. that's as realistic as it is probably due to gameplay. if the scope had sway, than that would make it very hard to get the kill when considering the other factors. however, there are still the semiautomatic rifles that some people will charge in with, but that really only depends on the situation, not necessarily the players preference.
The demo was pretty hard and in hard mode its very hard to know where the bullets is gonna hit. The game is made for sniperfreaks and realismfreaks. So its very very easy to fail, i needed to retry several times on the first demolevel. The jungle looks very good, many cloneenemies no lamps or light bulbs to shoot at to make it dark, Its just light coming from nothing. Didnt find any cans or stuffs around to shoot at, no prop physics, no trees to cut. It only offers sniping. :) Have fun with it..

the thing about most games that involve sniper's, is that everybody pushes for the head shot. the only problem is that the head is a small target. you want to go for a chest shot. chest shots from a sniper mean game over. the round entering your body at such high speeds will leave such a large exit wound that it's game over.

i hate how they use snipers in videogames, snipers are not a one man army, they are used usually for assassination, 1 kill. they can also be used as support for an assault. you do not send a sniper to assault a whole enemy base

@SirBigBrain A "Sniper" or Marksman as they're officialy named are used for a wide variety of tasks, most common of such is reconaisance. Also, you do not know what your or any one else's military leaders are tasking to their troops. One highly trained marksman (with his trusty sidekick spotter) could indeed cause enough havok in a military base to cause them to evacuate. They are intensely trained in camoflague, shooting and perception. A team of marksmen are a much more cost-effective force.

@SirBigBrain but the in the actual game you arnt actually attacking the base, your usually killing a few people in the base to get in the sniper spot to cover the assault team on the game. Maybe next time you should pay attention tot he game instead of running and gunning <3

Why does it keep saying "sniper stealth" when the game is full of you running about in rambo style firefights with "stealth" being when you are 20 meters away from an enemy about to enter one of those firefights.
What happend to the "one shot one kill" slogan? And the "stealth" and the "sniper" part of the sniper game?
Most of the shots you take in the game with the rifle you could do with a pistol.

finally some real sniping mechanism applied in VG. hopefully the stealth really work n not spoil like in Far Cry where your enemies will know your position even though u snipe them at long distance with a silencer and hide in bushes. it's been a while since the last time i see that sniper bullet slow mo view in max payne

@ytxcg im very sorry to tell you something, but the stealth does not work. Its the same as far cry. If you shooot someone a mile away on a cliff, the nearby enemy will instantly know where you are and start shooting at you. Im sorry its just that stupid. the AI is garbage, im very sorry to tell you. The sniping aspect is the most realistic ive seen in a long time, much better than mw2, but im very sorry to tell you that the artificial intelligence is absolute garbage.

This game looks great. First proper sniping I've seen in a game. Wind, bullet drop, pulse rate, this will be great. So much better than quick/no scoping in CoD, (i doubt REAL snipers do that). This looks like a great game that requires quick thinking and strategy !!

@2810Nath bad company 2 encourages long range shots and hard scoping, and has bullet drop and flight time. that's as realistic as it is probably due to gameplay. if the scope had sway, than that would make it very hard to get the kill when considering the other factors. however, there are still the semiautomatic rifles that some people will charge in with, but that really only depends on the situation, not necessarily the players preference.

The demo was pretty hard and in hard mode its very hard to know where the bullets is gonna hit. The game is made for sniperfreaks and realismfreaks. So its very very easy to fail, i needed to retry several times on the first demolevel. The jungle looks very good, many cloneenemies no lamps or light bulbs to shoot at to make it dark, Its just light coming from nothing. Didnt find any cans or stuffs around to shoot at, no prop physics, no trees to cut. It only offers sniping. :) Have fun with it..
