  • in turkic mythology "oding" its mean "lord of time", "eternal power", "light of all suns"

    "od" its mean "timeless"

"od tengri" its mean timeless god.

    Greetings from Turkey, north brothers...

  • @bipkatr That's interetsing! But it's also logic, since Odin and the rest of the Æsir came from Asia

  • Quite lovely... x)

And I want those green trousers so bad... *__*

  • Óðinn = Odin(Odhinn) In old Norse

  • Why is there a hobo in their video? And why didn't they kick him out when he started yelling?

  • Island have big place in my heart

  • Good stuff, greetings from Wisconsin!~

  • COOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • it´s very nice song,thumb up,hail for the northgods

  • Hi... I'm Óðinn

  • Where's the metal version of this?

  • @TheSpartan188 I hope that nowhere.

  • LOL!, can't stop laughing

  • this is cool man

  • greeeeeaaaaat !!!! I can not stop listening and watching. Thank you highly.

  • can totally see those chains take when those Goats take off, Hold on.

  • Those Icelandics don't drop their final "r's," that's for sure.

  • Oh weia. Wasn alberner Kram. Aber immerhin lustig!

  • YEAHHHH!!

  • Piękne. Świetny zarówno wokal jak i gra instrumentów.

  • Icelandic Red Hot Chilli Peppers? Lol

  • The old gods were a lot cooler than the new one.

  • @roundtheblock1 Try 'are'. ;)

  • kvlt

  • Way better than the usual "scream till their ears bleed " pagan rock.

  • wtf, ain't the singer that "homeless" guy Mustard ?

  • Those are the Keebler Elves that make refrigeratable food.

  • Those green pants...

  • @Deadftw1 It is spongeviking squarepants =)

  • not quite what i was looking for, yet nice.

  • @tysken94 Wow - I couldn't explain it better. Your words are *exactly* what I thought the first time I listened to this band (and it was this song).

  • I want his hat

  • very good!!i like!

  • Sooooo cheesy yet soooo awesome simultaneously...

  • I do not know what is going on, but I like it.

  • I may not be able to understand a word, but I can "feel" the strength, respect, and beauty this culture has within and for itself just by hearing the music. The parts that I am quick to pass off as "humorous" are probably due to the fact it is not commonplace to see this kind of display in my area of the world.

I supposidly have some "Nordic" (general term) blood in me, being an American mut and all.

  • im sorry but this is just so funny xD

  • I love this song... I want to learn Icelandic so badly... AH!

  • @ariinallhonesty

    Me too...Icelandic is so beautiful.

  • hmmm.... WOW's graphics have greatly improved!

  • @Arwyroe Not WOW. LOTRO! I can see Bilbo! ;)

  • Thats funny, I was explaining that exact assumption about Vikingr and the association with exploring and the bay to my wife. Again thanks.

  • awesome! Greetings from slavic pagan Bvlgaria!

  • awesome song yes! but everything could look so more period without the bass guitar? no other way to get the sound with a period instrument?

  • Beautiful.

  • Hey guys. I love this video and song! I've listened to it like 3 times since I found it yesterday. Is there any way I could get an english translation?

  • 3 people were just dealt a deathblow with Mjöllnir

  • @Schutzraumtechnik999 No ....no that is to awesome and honorable a death for them. They died in their sleep, and no one will ever remember who they were.

  • @OrinDac LOL or die of illness, one of the least honourable ways to go. Also it bought you instant denial into Asgard (you went to Hél)

  • are they singing in icelandic

  • @chrispgrom yes

  • Vikings with green pants?

  • @tubveh Viking is a word that means raider and was never what any of the Norse folk called themselves as a people. They were also very fond of brightly colored clothing. Especially anyone who was a singer or poet.

  • @OrinDac Yes, I know, that's just a joke. =)

  • @OrinDac They did call themselv a "víkingr" but not in the meaning it has today. Vík means bay and the -ingur ending is put after the name of a place the person comes from. If a person lives in a vík, like most "vikings" did, that person was a "víkingr". Just like a person that today lives in Reykjavík(notice the vík there) is a Reykvíkingur.

It just has to do with icelandic/old norse grammar...

  • @Varghalur Interesting. I realized recently that I had the "Raider" meaning incorrect, but I was under the impression that it actually meant "Explorer". Your saying that it actually means something completely different. There seems to be a lot about the Old Norse that the world at large has wrong. Thanks for the knowledge.

  • @OrinDac More like foreigners can't understand it. I'm icelandic and a lot of this is rather common knowledge here, since old norse is just "old icelandic" and icelandic hasn't really changed much for the past 1000 years. But you can go "a viking",that means to explore, but it is written differently than a person living in a vík(víkingr), to explore is written: að fara í víking. Has another ending. Though in order to explore you have to take your boat to the bay and sail it in the "vík" :P

  • @Varghalur

Just like i would be considered a Hvalvíkingur, as i am from Hvalvík, FO

  • weeell me fuckinl love ther random musik move xD

  • so sweet positive happy music, my respect and regards :-))))))

  • oh! everybody run! the vikings are coming! :)) i prefer vikings with instruments in their hands, not with swords :)

  • ...

Que bueno este genero exitO .

  • "Krauka"... just a guess, but is that Icelandic for "crow"? Anyway, nice video.

  • Damn....sweet music

  • I just found these fellas..rather fun I must say, i like this song.

  • love it <3

  • crasy man!

  • Where are the band members from?

  • @daziani they are from Denmark

  • that Donar statue is boss

  • This is so dorky

  • Please can you send me lyrics translated in english, i don't understand what the singer says :( Thanks!! ^^

  • @Unker47 it's just a bunch of names for Odin :)

  • @Skullfaakked Thank you, now i know it: I'm reading the Poetic Edda :D

  • Epic song... *O*

[Look in the background at 0:46, you can see a car :D]

  • i keep coming back to this. love it

  • Krauka are the only music-menn who could do justice to the Saga of Sinfjötli. How about it, Krauka?

    "Væri ykkr, Sinfjötli

gunni at heyja ok glaða ornu....."

  • video budget 125$ lol

  • I wish I'd have just listen to the music^^

  • Mange tak til min bedste ven, for at introducere mig for det her.

  • Loved the music and the video!!

    Fantastisk!

    Venlig hilsen fra Brasil!

  • Awesome video! I missed this when you posted but my friends have been passing the link around. My wife and I first found your band when we stayed in Hafnarfjordr in November 2002 for our honeymoon. (Don't laugh, being from Minnesota, the weather in Iceland then was nice enough we just wore rain jackets.) We've seen you folks a few times since then but, honestly, I don't recall which countries it was in. (I love that about the music scene in Europe.)

  • omg the video cracks me up!!! great music though!!

  • Älskar delen där man ser en vit bil i bakgrunden..

    Äring och frid ifrån Skånelandet.

  • Love this, I have to listen to this at least once a day. Hail Óðinn.

  • Awesome music!

    Hails from Brazil!

  • good music! *_* I like this song, it's fantastic :)

  • Where was this video taken? I am interested in knowing where the statue/artwork in the background is.....also.....is it Thor on his chariot, as that's what it looks like.

  • Great music I like it. :)

  • I like it!

  • You guys rocked Moorhead last night! See you at Aquarium tonight!

  • hay krauka im from the elementry school you went to on september 24th 2010 you rock!

  • Just saw them in Solvang, CA for Danish Days celebration, they were awesome!!

  • Too modern. I liked their folk sound much better.

  • The green pants distract.

  • basista psuje klimat :) nie chciał się przebrać?

  • Subbed your myspace yesterday, ordered the cd and subbed the youtube channel today. Great music and musicians.

Only one small point of critic- the electric bass in the video why not try a bucket bass. This is probably not a traditional ancient instrument but looks way cooler and authentic in the video

  • This makes me happy! :D

  • Great band!

  • Very good music !!! ;) Scandinavian folklore the best !

    Greetings from Polish ;)

  • very good band very nice song like a lot from them

  • Men fed sang :)

Men ja, fed sang!

  • Great music and great clothes to, lol.

  • Very nice! Hail the Allfather!

  • Seen then in Cedar Rapids on the 6th and must say they put on awesome show. cds are getting very hard to get btw
