I believe Jesus is God and so do most Quakers. There are some, esp, in the US who have positions on Jesus that are less orthodox. It's hard to put all quakers in the same box because of the wide varity of thought. Quakers can be both very conservative and very liberal, we have both, the society is growing most in Africa and as often the case the quakers there are of a more conservative bend....
Absolutely, there are some Quakers, mostly in the FGC meetings, who would see Jesus more as a teacher and guide than God in the flesh. These Quakers are sort of like spiriitul Unitarians perhaps. I imagine there are many people in all sorts of churches that might hold to such beliefs...we all travel our own path I guess. In fact Satan doesn't make its first appearance in the Hebrew Bible until the book of Job...and there Satan is just another one of God's angels, working for God. In the Hebrew bible aka Old Testament, Satan isn't evil rather is the angel who points out the evil inclinations of humanity to God. In other words Satan is just like a prosecuting district attorney
