  • Good start. Did you ever get her to become a "self loader?"

  • with your wife swinging the rope like that no wonder he doesnt want to get in there your doing it all wrong open both doors everybody knows that but apparently not you two

  • we feed our horses grain in our 2 horse trailer so they like to goin it this is a red roan we have a mare just like her i miss our s and h trailer it was a nice trailer we could go anywhere with is in the bust city to the lady we bought if from had a big horse and it was hard for her to haul him in it she went on trail rides

  • Firt, the other door should be wide open, Second, you should have a treat ready to reward him with once he has entered the float,Thrid you should show him it is safe in there, you just walking towards it then stopping confuses him, he would get nervouse and afraid and wonder why you wont go in yet your swinging a rope for him to go in. More time and you will get there :D

  • All you where doing is confusing the colt. swing that lead doesn't help anything, the colt gets in, but doesn't know if you want to load or back up. open the otherside and get in there with colt, so it knows its safe to get in the trailer. soon gets in it feels the tugg on the lead and backs right back out.

  • I think u did great. Make it uncomfortable outside and quiet inside. did she ever get in?

  • wow she is doing really well in the video im having the same trouble with my mare in the same type of trailer she hates it i can get her half way in and on occasion i get her all the way in but we cant get the door closed she rockets back out.

  • Very surprised this worked as well as it did for you. She did exceptionally considering this technique is poor for horse loading.

  • This, is aboslutley pitiful!! you have to know what YOUR doing ..before the horse can know what they are sopost to do!

  • You have to lead the horse ON the trailer - ie, you have to get on it yourself, so that the horse knows to follow!!

Might work with a docile horse like that one, but it's stupid. Get on the trailer, lead the horse up onto it -- and tie her, then get off.

    duh.
